Re: Trader Joes (Lyndale and 27th)

Seems like the developer is trying to really push this. http://www.traderjoeslyndale.com/about-the-trader-joes-project/responding-to-the-community/ I have such mixed feelings both about the proposal and the developer's responses to the community. I live in uptown, and would absolutely LOVE a Trader ...

Re: Burch Pharmacy Building

There's plenty of problems heading east on Franklin, but there's the potential to have a continuous experience heading down Hennepin from Franklin to Lake. I'd consider that a win. Replace the vacant BP station with something cool, and we're halfway there.

Re: Burch Pharmacy Building

This, the Lowry, Rye . . . we could really be seeing Hennepin-Franklin turn into something great. Hopefully it all spawns some renovations in the nearby apartment buildings.

Re: Minneapolis & St. Paul Fantasies and Speculations

With all due respect, I really don't like the idea of messing with these small plots. The only exception might be the one highlighed in red, as it currently doesn't serve much of a purpose being surrounded by super busy roads, but the one in blue is highly used as a gathering place, a place to thro...

Re: Presidential Election

I love Gary Johnson on most larger societal and national issues. But from an urbanist perspective, it's hard to vote for anyone but Obama. I don't think many people here would like the DOT under Gary . Barry on the other hand, despite all his faults, does fund mass transit. But that's not to say tha...

Re: Minneapolis & St. Paul Fantasies and Speculations

I know this is in the downtown sub-forum, but it didn't seem economical to create a separate thread in the uptown or anything goes forums. Going for a run at the chain of lakes earlier, I thought how awesome it would be to have something really spectacular where uptown meets the chain of lakes. The ...

Re: Nicollet Residences

I am going to be elated when this breaks ground!

Edit: Wait. Design changes? Any word or rumors about what those might be?

Re: Mobile Version?

Love the mobile theme. Easy both to read and post from my phone. Thanks for not only making this new site, but doing it right too.

Edit: to add that this was posted and edited (with ease) from the mobile site on my phone.

Re: Mobile Version?

This would be a huge plus for me. I would visit the site often when I'm on the bus if there was a mobile version that was very easy to use.
