Re: Federal Reserve Riverfront Parking Ramp
Walked by this morning, they’ve got an excavator on site and are digging a trench down around the perimeter. Looks like it’ll be permanent.

Re: Federal Reserve Riverfront Parking Ramp
Gonna go ahead and call this a loss of quasi public space. Families take their kids there a lot to just have a wide open flat space to ride their bikes and such. I'd be fine with a building going here, with park space behind, but a security fence? The Fed better reverse this stuff once they have ne...

I'm old enough to remember when large swaths of the North Loop were just like this. Then the developers started coming, building right up along the 3rd/4th/94 viaduct, and now look at it.

I'm thankful that my company fully supports employees having their kids at home during this pandemic, and has given us tools like Skype and cell phones so we can quickly contact other coworkers when informal communication is needed.

A lot of respondents already have a monthly bus pass, and caffeine is always welcome. Why not receive a free all-day (or all-weekend) transit pass?all respondents will receive a $5 Starbucks gift card.

TMBR’s is officially dead due to the pandemic. If a project moved forward on this it won’t be with the current design.

Angry white rich car owners, plus MPB doesn't own all of the parkway. Why is West River Parkway open to vehicles at all? It doesn't provide access to anything that other roads don't. Just close it all.

Re: Work from home and road congestion
While many companies are managing to develop WFH in the current environment, I'm curious what the actual productivity will be. Many jobs can easily be done at home, but I know certain areas of our company are very dependent on in-person resources so numerous projects will be put on hold until we ret...

But I'm looking at Google Maps and I don't even understand who would be pushing for the creation of this "district" right now - it's low-slung light industrial uses and social services facilities, on one of downtown's most disconnected street grids. It seems like their marketing is so far...

Re: Minneapolis Vehicle Equipment Violations
Just to be clear they don't actually have to issue the citation to justify the stop. It is at their discretion. Yes, it absolutely is a fishing expedition far too often, but this at least moves things in the right way and takes away a financial burden that is unnecessary. Especially since most peopl...

What's the problem? MPD will still pull over vehicles with equipment violations, they just won't give them a ticket that potentially adds a financial burden.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Restaurant News
Operating a restaurant has always been brutal. The new wage dynamics will just make it harder. Anything on the fringe, that might have been able to fight their way through tough times in the past, will now most likely just go away. Bingo. Sure restaurants come and go, but it does raise eyebrows whe...
