Re: Downtown Retail News

I really enjoyed their Len Druskin Man store, but I agree--having four different concept stores across the street from each other is pretty confusing.

I'm pretty excited for Coup D'Etat to open in this building. The folks at Borough/Parlour have excellent taste. http://blogs.citypages.com/food/2013/08 ... ncepts.php

The Minneapolis PD and Metro Transit Police are sharing that space in City Center as a police substation. No transit center.

Re: Penn and American - Bloomington

There are multiple alignments under consideration for the Orange Line right now at this station. Some of them stay inline with 35W while others venture on to Knox Ave. The Knox Ave alignment under consideration makes walking a possibility. Whether or not it's a pedestrian-friendly walk will be depen...

Re: Vikings Stadium

I'm glad they took a risk with the design. Some of the perspectives seem very promising while others look less than desirable. It'll be interesting to see how things look as they're constructing it.

Re: 4Marq - (400 Marquette Avenue)

Developing a parking lot in the middle of downtown with a 30-story residential project gets high marks in my book. This design however is joke. I understand the pragmatic programming and etc, but there are so many missed opportunities to explore skin and exterior conditions. In its current iteration...

I'm a big fan of the extensive use of glass. It'll be interesting to see how the Biomedical Discovery District looks in 5-7 years from now.
