Here is the link. If you go around back you can see work on the parking lot.

Re: Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board
More news on winter sports and bike center at Theodore Wirth park. It would be great to see something like this at the Hiawatha Golf Course also.

Re: Hiawatha Avenue Grain Elevators & Freight Rail Corridor
There was another article today that gave a little more information about the rezoning process. The article points out all the other developments that are happening around this site, and there is also the Snelling Yards site coming up soon. If this site becomes housing or "indoor recreation lik...

Re: Riverview Corridor (Alternatives Analysis)
It would seem useful to study the options for both rail and enhanced bus options in the corridor. Each map presents only one path, instead of two paths with different modes. It would be worthy to ask the question, where does it make the most sense for rail or bus. Maybe an enhanced bus could run alo...

Re: Hiawatha Avenue Grain Elevators & Freight Rail Corridor
It is really too bad that they cannot think of a better solution for this property. Yes it is a difficult site, but try and get creative. Icehouse/Vertical Endeavors was renovated from a brick structure that formerly stored blocks of ice from Cedar Lake. The Mill City Museum and offices came from th...

Re: 38th Street Corridor & 38th St Station/Lander Development
What is it going to take to get bike lanes installed all along 38th St. They are called for in the bike master plan. It would be nice to create a better bike connection from the 38th St Station to Fireroast/Riverview Theater/Northbound/Pilgrimage Cafe ect....

Cap's Grille is looking for support for their new brewpub addition. See their facebook page for more information. The bill (SF 2987) to enable us to proceed with our project is being held up in the Senate because some want to avoid a vote on Sunday liquor sales. Please email/call Senate Majority Lea...

Re: Fort Snelling Upper Post
Nice to see some more news about the renovations for the visitors center. It seems like they have a really good intent. It would be nice to envision a better connection and engagement with Coldwater Spring and Minnehaha Park. Right now the traffic planning in that entire area is kind of a mess. http...

Re: 38th Street Corridor & Surrounding Neighborhoods
Looks great! I would love to to see them buy up the property at 3737 38th Ave and do a similar project. This would be a great location for a mixed use development, as it would help connect the Riverview Theater with Fireroast Coffee/Minnehaha Ave. http://s30.postimg.org/ykzg3koy9/4688304.jpg https:/...

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity ReStore will open later this summer in South Minneapolis at 2700 Minnehaha Avenue. The small improvement to this building's storefront it nice. Re: Hi-Lake and Minnehaha Mall Area (Target, Cub, etc.)
I agree that the bridge is incredibly ugly and overwhelming to the entire area, but what if the dead zone underneath were spruced up a bit and lightened? I think looking into some aesthetic improvements while keeping the main structure of the bridge intact is a great idea. Could the lighting and ra...

You know like... future Midtown Light Rail [/quote] Which is not even being considered in this analysis, even though it will certainly have some effect on this area. I am not arguing against detailed studies or improvements, just proposing that we also step back and look at the bigger picture also. ...

Re: Hi-Lake and Minnehaha Mall Area (Target, Cub, etc.)
Yeah that's nowhere near on the table, and even if it was I'd say it was a huge waste of limited funds It is not a bad idea to think bigger about this intersection, especially given all the public amenities around the site (South High School, YMCA, Midtown Farmer Market, Midtown Greenway, Green Lin...

Re: Hi-Lake and Minnehaha Mall Area (Target, Cub, etc.)
The Star Tribune just ran an article about the recent work done to improve the the Hiawatha-Lake intersection. This is a great start, and it would be beneficial if they also studied options for replacing the bridge or tunneling Highway 55 under Lake Street. The bridge is massive and creates terrible...
