Re: Nicollet-Central Streetcar
Or we could wait a while... at least until we’re ready to build the line ready to be labeled the N Line.

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
That rail yard house just west of Loring and east of the baseball fields would be an awesome station for people going to the park or a baseball game on those fields. I know not the purpose of transit but a nice greenway linking them into one combination park/green space along with a metro station su...

https://twitter.com/SouthwestLRT/status/1392487377159983113?s=20 New Series 3 out on the lines! Wow beautiful.. although now that they switched to plastic seats it makes me question how grotesque having fabric really was over the years! 😨 public spaces shouldn’t have materials that absorb people’s ...

Re: Orange Line / 35W@94: Downtown to Crosstown Project
I have a friend who lives near 35W and 38th who was disappointing he wasn't going to have a station nearby. I wonder if a station at 38th would pass today. The Orange Line is a bit of an unusual beast. It's been in the works in some form or another for over 15 years; the planning was done by MNDot ...

Re: Blue Line Extension - Bottineau LRT
If there is ANY money for underground stations money ( I understand there is not. 😟) then... it would be best spent downtown putting in a shallow tunnel/trench and building a pedestrian only walking down 5th from target field to us bank stadium. It could rival Nicollet Mall (mile? We still calling i...

I just assume someone in government at the time just really really liked walls so he made it BIGGER! ..it is what it is, at least it’s getting built.

Re: Orange Line / 35W@94: Downtown to Crosstown Project
The express busses that will use orange line stations need some type of orange line branding. Maybe an O before the number to signify that this bus will stop at least at Lake and 46th. Otherwise people will end up waiting longer for a bus that will take them where they want to go. Example O578 to S...

Re: Arterial Bus Rapid Transit Corridors
I’m start to get excited about Riverview line it’s gonna be awesome having trains from MOA to Minneapolis and St. Paul. It’s really gonna make Red line more valuable. Plus E line really seemed to come out of nowhere, probably cause I wasn’t paying to much attention. It’s really awesome seeing this s...

Re: Nicollet-Central Streetcar
You actually the more I think about it the more I like the idea of a streetcar. With Central and Nicollet not being one connected bus line having a streetcar that gets the bulk of the urban neighborhoods just outside of downtown would be convenient. Sure I’m late to the band wagon, likely right befo...

Re: Renaissance Square / The Andrus
Downtown Columbus just got one about 9 months ago and its been fantastic so far. Open til 10pm as well. I think it’s no longer acceptable to just require windows as the bare minimum. We should require them to have at least 1 to 2 feet displays cases built into them that they can choose or choose no...

Re: Interstate 94
Isn't 94 mostly a trench? Could we put a lid on it? Cheaper than tunnelling, and the top could be green space. Not sure if that's more or less likely that removing 94, or if it brings the benefits we're looking for. https://i.imgur.com/HvyVnML.jpg If only we could make putting a lid on it profitabl...

Re: Interstate 94
Not saying I’m for it but, diverting thru traffic on 94 to 494 and 694 and 35W thru traffic to 100, and 35E thru traffic to 494/694. While slowing speeds decreasing lanes to allow for more transit ROW does sound worth looking into long term. Still it seems like throwing away an iPhone 8 while you do...

Re: Arterial Bus Rapid Transit Corridors
Disappointed American BLVD isn’t even being considered anymore. At least the 540 seems to be able to connect to 6 of the 7 major routes. Plus this will only made the midtown greenway line that more important for transfers. Maybe when we have more of that network built the numbers will change. Until ...

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
Anyone else find the location of City West Station odd? I biked over there yesterday and the only people I can see benefiting from this are park & riders and workers at Optum who can use the train for their commute (which is probably a small number of the overall workforce). I realize it's too ...

Re: Red Line (Cedar Avenue BRT)
If the 94 route can be an express bus connecting the downtowns having a similar service from MOA to the downtowns seems worth looking into. Maybe even connecting them all into an O Line service with a round loop service going in both directions. Even if red line rides didn’t have a one seat ride int...

Re: Bottineau LRT (Blue Line Extension)
I think keep it running down 55 , redevelopment at the golf course (spend that money buying them out instead of the railroad company) then power through glenview terrace park and valley view park (shallow tunnel to preserve park space?) then follow up Theodore wirth pkwy to bottineau blvd. Golf cour...

Re: Bicycle Infrastructure
I looked for a relevant Hennepin Ave construction thread, there are like 3 of them but none specifically fit the Dunwoody-Lyndale Hennepin-intersections of hell. But since the Dunwoody Trail is already talked about here, might as well continue. I’m looking at the diagram of the Dunwoody trail as pr...

Re: Izzy's Ice Cream Factory
There ice cream is as overpriced and overrated as the building they sell it in. I’m sure they will find a sucker to buy it eventually but not for anything close to what they think it is valued at. I doubt they will be here long term be it tenant or owner & business Maybe a restaurant could make ...

Re: MSP Airport
It took 18 years for passenger levels to get back to pre-9/11. This may be longer than that. I doubt it. if no vaccine cure is created and herd immunity is required then forsure after 2 years we will be see everything starting to open back up, and within 2 years of that (4 total) people will start ...
