Another Nicollet Ave restaurant headed across the river... http://www.citypages.com/restaurants/five-watt-will-serve-coffee-cocktails-and-food-in-new-northeast-location/442106683 This is great news! The Marcy Holmes Neighborhood could use a good coffee shop. The Spyhouse up on Broadway is somewhat ...

Re: Cedar/Minnehaha/Franklin Intersection
Overall this is a pretty massive improvement, but I'm just realizing there's not a safe pedestrian crossing of Franklin between Cedar and 22nd Ave. Not a huge change from existing conditions, but previously you could at least cross Franklin at M'haha. This project slightly increases the distance be...

A couple proposals up in Shoreview have come up in the past week that I noticed. One over on Rice and 694, a redevelopment of an aged strip mall. But this one... http://finance-commerce.com/2017/04/shoreview-plan-lures-greco-from-urban-comfort-zone/ 410 units near the Land o' Lakes HQ and Boston Sc...

New document day: http://media.wix.com/ugd/6977a0_3ef7e0b066774b4cb940d173b5dfadca.pdf Looks like Phalen Blvd is getting most of the attention. Big question in my mind is how an Arcade Street station would work. If it's at the bridge it's close to both the Seeger Square shopping center (needs major...

Cheap groceries and walkability
Has anyone else noticed that many of grocery stores that are both cheap and within walk-able regions are few and far between? There are only 3 Aldis within the city limits. The one on Lake is fine if you are coming from the south or west directions but from the north or east it's difficult due to th...

Snelling Ave
There has been more work/planning surrounding Snelling Ave recently with 2 proposed roadway expansion projects and a bike study done by the city of St. Paul: Snelling pavement rehab, turn lane expansion, and new sidewalk (2017, Falcon Heights and south Roseville): MnDOT will be rehabbing pavement on...

Re: Pedestrian Safety and Infrastructure Improvements
The 5th street bridge is great. I like it as it is today (even the small/cozyness of it), but I could see how someone with ADA would have trouble with it. I wish there were nice bridges like the 5th street one (accessible and completing great ped/bike streets) in other cities as well. On a side note...

This funding deadline may kill what's in process but allow us to re-envison a better southwest line with the 3C option.

Twin Lakes Parkway east of Fairview is going to be revamped as well including some intersection changes on it's route. Re: Roseville / Rosedale - General Topics
I'm disappointed about the new parking ramp that is going to be located right next to the road. They could make better use of their property frontage against County Road B2. That might make even more sense if "B2" was called something other than "B2". Seriously though, this is on...

The former Country Side restaurant in Roseville is getting replaced by a brand new building, a Pizza Luce! Who would have thought an urban chain like this would have made it's way out to Roseville? Hopefully, it does well, since restaurants in this location have struggled historically. Pizza Luce h...

I think that the bike trail over the river would be a lot more useful if there was some way to get off of the bluff (Concord Ave) and follow 52 down to the flat area. http://www.ci.stpaul.mn.us/DocumentCenter/View/64917 (11.5mb PDF) Will tie into the existing MRT in South St. Paul, from which there...

Re: U.S. Highway 52
I biked the bridge yesterday. My review will be based on that experience: Pros: -The trail felt very wide, perhaps excessively wide. -There is a good view not only of the river valley but also of the downtown St. Paul skyline. -The benches at the 2 lookout spots on the bridge are pretty nice. I actu...

Quick restaurants on Nicollet near 26th
Hey everyone,
Lately my friends and I have been climbing at Vertical Endeavors in Minneapolis and have been looking for quick places to eat beforehand. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am not super familiar with the area but would prefer something within walking distance to this intersection.
