Re: MSP Airport

It took 18 years for passenger levels to get back to pre-9/11. This may be longer than that.

Re: TMBR - 100 3rd Ave N

Transportation is the largest proportion of co2 émissions in the US. By my estimates 5 times greater than concrete and steel production. Concrete production releases significant co2, but only wood releases less, due to the very low embodied energy of concrete. More inventive use of timber the better...

I think a premium outerwear purveyor like Marmot or Helly/Hanson would do well.

Re: Downtown Riverfront - Mill Ruins Park - Waterworks

They really need to find a way to have a some soft of vendors. It would like a 30 minute walk for any kind of refreshments. Seems like every good pier runs utilities out the furthest point for shoppes and restrooms.

Re: Uptown Retail & Restaurant News

It's kind of wild that the CB2 and LA Fitness corners are entirely new parts of the complex (replacing old buildings) within the past decade. And they don't include a vertical housing or hotel or even office component. In the case of CB2, I seem to recall the previous building had multiple storefro...

Across the northern city limit of Milwaukee there are literal farm fields. So yeah it’s much more suburban than Minneapolis.

Thank you for your response. There must have been a technical issue with the forum displaying my complete post. Because immediately proceeding the text you quoted I stated that it would be great if a developer took a chance and the city should help facilitate them. You're right that with the growing...

Re: Sears Redevelopment

The only problem I see with Class B office conversion is the lack of attached parking. Certainly a certain portion of potential tenants/owners wouldn’t mind. But generally parking in close proximity is part of the deal for market rate housing in the Midwest. It would be great if a pioneering develop...
