Re: General Suburb News

Anyone have details about the 26-story office tower that was once proposed for Burnsville? http://en.phorio.com/concorde_centre,_burnsville,_united_states I don't know how serious the proposal was, but it's from the mid-1980's. The street Concorde Place may be related to this development. It's loca...

Re: Cancer and Cardiovascular Research Building

I was in this area over the weekend and noticed a tower crane behind this building. I walked towards the back and they seem to be putting in some kind of foundation/concrete pillars. Anyone know what this could be for? It's the final building in the Biomedical Discovery District Plan, a Microbiolog...

I'm well aware of all you say, but it is in Maplewood. Color me impressed if you can spit all the way across McKnight Road.

Re: Lyndale Garden Center Site - Richfield

I think the construction up to now is just for the new Lakewinds Co-Op. The apartments are in the far northwest corner of the site. Coincidentally, it looks like it will start very soon, as the project was just awarded funds from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency. http://www.mnhousing.gov/wcs/Sat...

Re: Downtown Saint Paul Post Office

There's now a banner up at the top of the base facing Kellogg & Jackson, indicating Residential, Hotel, Retail & Office. I don't recall seeing mention of a hotel before.

And there's the beginnings of a website: http://customhousestpaul.com

Re: Ford Twin Cities Assembly Plant Redevelopment

If not the old section of plant, at least they could try to save the entablature on the north side. I took pics of these earlier this summer; fantastic marriage of industrial and classical themes.

The larger curved structure at the southeast corner of Otto Ave & Victoria Way has been under construction since May, and most of the framing is now complete. Excavation on a second structure at the southeast corner of Otto Ave & Mercer St began last month.
