Re: Ritz Residences - 365 Nicollet Mall (334' - 30 stories)
It really sucks not having a cam on this project. Of course it comes at a time when I am spending much less time downtown as well.

Finally the light is at the end of the tunnel on Hwy 100 and Hwy 7. After a closure this weekend there will be 2 lanes north and south on the proper sides under the Hwy 7 bridge. Exit and entrance ramps to be finished throughout the next week or so after that. The St. Louis Park website shows a cele...

Is anyone going to the informational meeting on November 10th? I will be out of town unfortunately. I'm hoping to see some images of what the causeway will look like.

I stopped by Lakes and Legends on Friday and was very impressed with the beer selection. They are starting to bottle and hoping to distribute to certain locations very soon.

City council votes to approve cocktail rooms. http://sailor.mnsun.com/2016/01/19/st-louis-park-city-council-approves-cocktail-room-measure/ I really hope that Millers and Saints opens up a cocktail room, but parking can be a challenge at Steel Toe already. If/when they do open, biking might be the ...

Does anyone know what is going on in the lot in front of the Health Partners clinic near West End? I've seen work going on for probably over a year now. I would guess some sort of utility work, but it seems pretty extensive.

Re: MN Highway 100
I drove west bound on hwy 7 from the Wooddale bridge last night around 5:00 and the traffic heading east was backed up past Louisiana. All of that was getting compressed to a single lane which had to exit southbound on Wooddale. What a mess. I guess it's going to take a few days for people to realiz...

I agree. A lot of fun evenings spent there with friends and family. Guess I'll have to brave the tent for one last hurrah and klinking of mugs.Sad day if they change the menu and theme... lots of fun memories here!
Here's hoping they're just upgrading.

It came from the article above. Councilmember Tim Brausen said a brewery planned to open near the West End would like expanded taproom hours. With Bryn Mawr Brewing opening up a couple of miles away, we will likely have 3 decent options in the area. You could almost include the Herkimer and LynLake...

I'm sorry you are bummed, and its too bad for the owners that they can't do it anymore. But I'm not particularly sad. Ale Jail has better service and just as much interesting beer, and is easier to get to. I also think South Lyndale, Elevated and Zipps are similar quality. And all are local indepen...

Four Firkins is abruptly going out of business on Saturday: http://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/morning_roundup/2015/06/last-call-for-four-firkins-craft-beer-shop-is.html For many of us beer geeks, this was more than just a beer store. It was a social club of sorts. No one else in town had the em...

It appears that the remainder of the main roof truss will be completed a beam at a time, unlike the large sections that had been put in place in the past. The first beam was put up about an hour ago.

I spoke with someone from MDot this week and they told me that the tree and brush clearing between Hwy 7 and just north of Minnetonka Blvd is for the new sound wall. Also, for anyone who is curious like me, the old Holiday station at 100 and Mtka Blvd is being used by the construction crews for thei...
