Franklin and Chicago
I happen to be walking down Chicago Avenue, from Franklin to 24th St., this evening. I found myself looking around the area. I often hear people say, this is a very bad neighborhood. From what I can see, I understand why it is the way it is. If anyone has ever read, The Life and Death of the Great A...

If you go to this website, the map lets you click on each of the buildings. Look at the count.
Building 1: 200 Apartments
Building 2: 110
Building 3: 110

Re: Downtown East - Wells Fargo / Radisson Red / Edition Apt
Off topic question, how many apartments are going to be in the Edition complex? From my count, using the devolopment tracker map, it looks about 410 apartments. Is that correct? Its too bad that they will all be so expensive. I would love to live in Downtown East.

Re: Downtown East - Wells Fargo / Radisson Red / Edition Apt
Just out of curiosity, has anyone actually been in the towers yet? I know that worker he started moving in last week Monday, I believe. I really would like to see pictures of the interior of the building.

I agree, it is important to think realistically about this intersection.

Unfortunately, I can tell you exactly what they're going to hate; They're going to say that two parking spaces isn't enough.

If they do decide to develop the lot, can the mural be moved to a different place? Is the mural attached to the building?

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map
Whats going to happen when the day comes, that we dont need all this parking space? We all, i think, can agree that the days of personal automobile owernship are numbered. Within the next 10 years, you will see the rise of self driving cars. There will be vary little need for all the parking, Even t...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis General Topics & Development Map
Quick thought, I happen to be walking around the vicinity of warehouse district station. Are they ever going to do anything with the parking lots located just south of the station, and just east of Hennnipin Ave and south of fifth?

Re: Uptown Hotel Discussion
I do agree, Its strange that the people with the most say so are those that will not be around to see it. I think that a hotel in uptown is vary exciting. The real question is, is there anyway to make better use of the parking lot currently occupied by Cub?

I'll tell you something interesting, I am blind. Not completely blind, I can see about A few feet in front of me. Most of the pictures were taken while riding the light rail.

Re: New Kraus-Anderson HQ (9th St. S/5th Ave. S)
Regardless of what happens, I think it's a good precedent to set that a few development interests can get together and build on a block scale, including a block of underground parking, without having every firm detail lined up. As has been said before, if KA can do it here, Opus can do it at 3rd an...

Re: East of Pascal, West of Lexington, north of I-94
I agree, the blocks in front of target, facing University Avenue, and will hopefully be developed soon. I believe target owns those parcels; does target want them to be developed? I could see target wanting them to remain vacant, because once developed they will block the line of sight of target fro...
