Re: Green Line (Central)
I remember someone saying earlier (maybe even on Minnescraper, and maybe it was mulad) that they're taking their time on the Bridge and not trying to get it done early enough to do a campus stub line. There also wouldn't be rolling stock to pull it off, ... Guess that kinda eliminates early starts!...

Re: Green Line (Central)
Went by central/Hiawatha switch recently, there were rails there but not cemented in. (Obviously there wouldn't be power, etc.) There's also machinery sitting on flyover- I'd guess rail grinders that haven't moved or moved much- What are these machines? Have they actually just been sitting for month...

Re: Park and Portland
Does anyone know what the logic was behind having the bike lanes on the left side to begin with? I think it is a huge mistake not to move both bike lanes to the right side of the street. when bike lane was in middle of DT Hennepin, almost got killed half dozen times by left turning drivers. Added s...

Re: Empire Builder
"And the trains ran on time"
Might have ominous connotations but if even a bus is late in Germany they all start talking about it.
Someone should be accountable for delays (withing reason) and fix them

Re: Park and Portland
The existing third lane carries a helluva lot more people than delete for pedal bikes-
One-ways are much more efficient than a two-way (26th and 28th you can 'zip' across town even in heavy traffic) in moving vehicles.

Re: Green Line (Central)
I remeber when the outside portion of the upper level was closed because they felt the support was not sufficient. Huge mistake there. They fixed it, not sure what the mistake is. Right after they laid out all 35W bent beams below N side- Could say conspiracy. I recall they used to drive an S-10 jo...

Re: Transit Crime
Sure. Whether they're found or not won't have any bearing on that shank sticking out of you back, not to be graphic ... Officer presence is best- crime still occurs- Couldn't tell you how many guys started fights with officers nearly, or sometime literally right in between. Best because officers sto...

Statewide:
Not sure why google spells 'Minnesota' and our cities wrong.
They have New Ulm in south, but they left the 'New' off.

Re: Hiawatha Line (Blue Line)
Saw a man driving down tracks between Gov't stop and Nicollet.
Several pedestrians were waving and yelling that he was on tracks.
I wonder how often this occurs, and how much (as street/track are in common for miles) on the Central?

Re: Transit Crime
Look like there is a problem with crime at the Lake Street Station. The only thing surprising here, is that people are surprised. Installing more/better cameras won't do anything. In 1999 they built Rush City, there's hi-def cameras covering every angle. You can literally zoom in on an inmates news...

Didn't read entire thread, so perhaps it's been mentioned;
There's turning two streets north of university into what I understand to be a thoroughfare- Guess theres a meeting about it.
Anyone heard any thing about this?
