Re: Bike Shopping

Since I started this, might as well update everyone, I ended up (finally) ordering a bike last week, the Priority Continuum . Getting used to the different riding position from my old hybrid, but it's certainly lighter, and I look forward to doing less maintenance. Oooh, you should do a review afte...

Re: University of Minnesota - General Topics & Development Map

Yeah, so per the plans the tower floors are each 6" shorter than the low-rise floors. But I'm sure the angle is also deceptive.

Re: Street, Road and Highway Projects

Fun fact: In the 2016 Streetview imagery for this intersection, you can see a really ugly early-80s Cadillac blowing through these lights with another waiting pedestrian.
you also get to experience ignoring the pedestrian; apparently that's what the streetview car did too!

Re: 18 West 15th Street - CPM development

One benefit of a full cap in this location would be the opportunity to link up Oak Grove Street & E 17th St.

Re: Public Transit News and Current Happenings

Apple Maps directs me to exit the bus a quarter mile from my apartment and walk, rather than ride it to the stop directly across the street. so that's odd.

Re: Chanhassen - Chaska - Carver County - General Topics

There will be lots of opposition. I can't think of a building in Chan that's more than 3 stories; this would be the tallest in the city by far. The site, right next to the Dinner Theater, will also make it highly contested. It always seemed like the Frontier Building, as well as retail in the Theate...

I think some serious work would have to be done to calm Lake & Excelsior before street-fronting retail could do well here. Maybe I'm wrong.

Re: Future cars / Driverless cars
