Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

Looks like you're right: In the west end zone, a main display measuring roughly 68 feet high by 120 feet wide will serve as the focal point. This display features variable content zoning to show one large image or it can be zoned into multiple windows to show any combination of live video, instant r...

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates

Can someone explain why the four corners of each scoreboard are left open?
I bet they're just not done yet.

Re: Downtown East - Wells Fargo / Radisson Red / Edition Apt

Am I misunderstanding the complaint, or is the Star Tribune? They keep showing shots of the Wells Fargo signs on the *sides* of the building, and I think the complaint is about the giant sign on the *roof* that you can see in the stadium construction cameras.

Re: Downtown Parks Master Plan

Well that's a real bummer then. Is there at least some kind of public easement on the old nicollet ROW that passes through that roofed plaza? I know I've got stink eye from security guards for walking through there but I'd assumed at was at least still accessible to the public. If they want to run ...

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News

I keep getting the impression that there's some kind of weird ultra-conservative astroturfing campaign going on with the Star Tribune comments. Like you'll see the same people constantly posting the same rhetoric about Minneapolis or Minnesota taxes or whatever, and then they're all liking and repl...

Those look even better than I was expecting. Really sad we're not going to get the precast cage on the top, especially because of the fire inspector of all people.

Re: The Commons - Downtown East Park

Because Portland Ave will still run through the middle of the park and everyone here wanted it to be closed.

Re: T3 - Hines Dock Street Office Project

I biked by there the other day and based on where they were driving the pilings, just about as close as the condo building that's next door.

Re: The Edition - 511 South 4th Street

They were smart to buy both versions, no one can spell. See http://gogle.com, http://googlee.com, etc.

Also when it's spoken it might be confusing whether it's Edition or Addition.

Re: Downtown Minneapolis Retail News

I've only lived here for a year, but I've biked by there a bunch of times and I had no idea there was a "mall" inside that building. Perhaps that's part of the problem.

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium

Wondered last week if there are additional signs that will go on that side. I've seen a few areas where the siding is much lighter and I figure that is where signs will go so they are not using the more expensive siding behind the signs. There are a few other smaller spots, so maybe like Target Cen...

Re: Downtown East Project (Ryan Companies / Wells Fargo)

Any word on a demolition date for the old Strib building??
I can't provide a source but I seem to remember reading that they had to do a bunch of asbestos abatement before tearing it down and it would be awhile.
