Re: Maverick - 100 Hennepin Avenue S
There was an article about it...has been discussed. Someone here had mentioned it might be a "reserve", but the article confirmed that it would not...just a standard Starbucks. That was me, when we met with them to look at units a few months ago they said that it would be a Starbucks Rese...

Re: Minneapolis Skyway System
Exactly...we live in the NL and don't really shop at most of the stores in the area. How about a CVS or Walgreens? Shoot we wouldn't even mind some fast food in the area lol. Would love to get a small Target in the area (yes, we go to the one downtown but its a fair walk, especially if you buy anyt...

Re: Target Field / Station and United Properties hotel development
8 stories, 154 roomsThat's a pretty decent location for a hotel in the area. Since the article is locked are there any details about height or number of rooms?

Re: Northeast (and Southeast) - General Topics
Yes, but General Mills has been planning for awhile to close the facility and transfer many of the operations to the main campus in Golden Valley.I thought that was still an active General Mills facility, no?
Also, any chance of connecting 4th Ave through the site?

Yes. I know that a rep for Four Seasons was onsite in March working on the project.I wonder if they're still trying to lure four seasons.

Re: MSP Airport
Korean Air is also a partner with Alaska Air, considering the bad breakup between Delta and Alaska I'm sure Delta is enjoying an opportunity to squeeze Alaska, especially at their primary hub in Seattle.

Re: West Elm Hotel
Then you plan to protest that a hotel is being built instead of all condos/apartments?That's nice. Personally I'd like more people to be able to live there.Fair enough. Personally I like that this area doesn't have that much height.

Also, regarding the river view, technically the North Loop Master Plan lists the new Federal Reserve Bank as focal point/landmark and says the view corridor towards it should be enhanced and preserved (page 43) http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/www/groups/public/@cped/documents/webcontent/convert_277...

Re: West Elm Hotel
Looking towards the river from where, and who owns that view? It would be a more valid argument if it was imposing on the river parkway... shadowing the bike way etc etc. Also isn't this right next to the taller federal reserve bank? I don't think it will be out of place especially with a 6 story d...

Re: West Elm Hotel
That proposal is 9 floors... "It's too tall and doesn't fit the neighborhood!" haha! jk. This looks great! The floor plans in this are split between hotel and condos. Did we know this is mixed? I hate to be that person but....it's too tall and doesn't fit the neighborhood. It really stick...

Interesting that the proposal was for a 9 story building, I thought the maximum height for new infill in this area was 6 stories?

Re: West Elm Hotel
Article on the hotel: http://www.startribune.com/west-elm-plans-north-loop-store-in-addition-to-hotel/417052224/ Doesn't specify the location but I'm confident it will be the surface lots on 1st St across from Aria that were just sold. My guess is the store/showroom will be part of the Foundry devel...

Re: MSP Airport
I'm hearing MSP may be getting even more destinations on Alaska Air in the future. They started Seattle in 2008, Portland a year ago, and San Francisco is already scheduled to launch this summer. But we may be in store for more. I would love if Alaska (or anyone else) started nonstop service to Sal...

I know the DP Overlay talks about surface lots, but is there anything in the downtown planning/zoning documents that restrict new standalone parking ramps from being built?

Re: Maverick - 100 Hennepin Avenue S
When I inquired they said March would be the move in date. The townhomes will rent for $6k/month, studio apartments start at $1495.The townhomes look complete. They were putting finishing touches on the railings this morning. When is the move in date?
