Re: Nicollet 301 - 20 stories - ~200'(?)
I think the building itself looks OK, it just seems to make some odd choices. Live/work unit on the skyway, walk up units on 3rd street, loading dock for two semis, weirdly hidden sports courts that still face the street??? Idk. I'd like it a lot more over in Downtown East or Loring Park I think. O...

Yeah, I'm thinking more his "Pride of Place" period.

I clearly need to wear my glasses - the point about Stern was great - I’ve read his books from years ago and he was all about designing his buildings within an urban context. I really like this building but it is pretty “plopped” in that location.

Re: Eleven (Ryan Condo Tower) - 1111 West River Parkway - 48 stories / 550'
I have not had a chance to drive by this site for a long time. Is there much activity? Anyone have pictures that are current or recent? I've been watching other Stern towers go up and most of them look like scaled up or scaled down versions of 11. I have no doubt this will be a handsome tower but f...

Re: 301 Nicollet - Opus (details TBA on 6/10)
Yes - the building on the south half of the block is 365 Nicollet. I wonder if this is going to be the residential option or the office option... height would be great to meet the RBC tower...

I was wondering about that too... the lobby and ground level floor plan has gone thru a lot of modifications... I suspect there is not much available space.

Re: Gateway Tower (RBC/Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 503'
Wouldn't they just have the skyway enter on the north and then use the 2nd level walkway on the east side of the atrium inferno of the Nicollet Mall windows... then have the skyway cross the mall on the south east corner and connect it with 365 Nicollet building...

Re: Gateway Tower (RBC/Four Seasons) - 37 stories - 503'
RBC has move - that ship has sailed... as an MBA with 20 years agency experience, RBC’s comment about the name on the top of the building being an important component of their global marketing land is a joke... it is not tent post strategy.... it is at best a “nice to have” but not a major focus for...

Just start over. They don't NEED anything. It's not some amazing project the city should bend over backwards for. Agreed. This feels like extortion. They know that they city has had a no sign above 50 feet policy and now they make it a deal breaker after the city has gone out of their way to extend...

Yes this is correct. It has been a top grossing per sq ft mall in MN and it is seen nationally as a top performing mall.To clarify, I thought Rosedale has long had the highest sales per square feet.

Interesting future opportunity - when Dolly Fitterman owned it and ran the Fitterman Gallery it was a great space... would be great if it became some king of public space. It was a really great gallery space.

Re: Southwest LRT (Green Line Extension)
"That would be great if true, but there's not much there at a lot of stations - Bassett Creek Valley (old Royalston), 21st St, Beltline, Louisiana, Golden Triangle in particular don't have much for destinations. And that's being pretty generous to the rest, most of which have either housing or ...
