And what happened this afternoon?

Image
Account is on a shared-hosting account that we'd just as soon as get rid of, possibly to move to Azure. We were hoping to get that set up before our renewal was up for this account, but didn't get that done. So, it's paid for another 6 months. Hopefully before the end of that we're on a more robust platform.

As for the quoting issue -- we are using a theme for the last version of phpBB because of the display issues created when we transitioned to the new theme. This theme does not yet support the new quoting feature (which is actually better when it works -- lets you jump to the post). I could redo the customizations with a new iteration of the theme, but each theme change has been met with a lot of resistance, too...

Sometimes I forget Azure / MS does public cloud in addition to private cloud infrastructure...

UrbanMSP.com domain is back (although https://forum.streets.mn is still the canonical URL). So old links from outside sources work again, although internal links should all be corrected to the current URL.

No links, no matter which post, are clickable anymore in Tapatalk unless specifically switched into web view. Until recently web view was not needed to tap on links, no link is accessible unless switched into web view.
Anyone else notice that quoting is broken? It no longer lists the author. Some new fields get added to the quote specifier but deleting those doesn't help.
Any luck on fixing the quote tags? I also noticed broken youtube and/or googlemaps tags.

Oh, I haven't really been trying on the quotes. I can take a look and see if I can find something.

Testing Google maps...

Using imgur BBcode tags
It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you entered is correct.

It appears to not like the imgur thing where you put an extra character at the end to change the size. If you take the l off of the end (before the .png) it works.

It seems quoting is still broken...the username of the person being quoted doesn't show up. Any chance that will return?

I propose a moratorium on all historic preservation district arguments be confined to 'Anything Goes'. It's silly that every week there's a small group that has decided it's time to make a big discussion about the same things over and over again.

When the issues are related to a specific project, it makes sense to have the discussions in those threads. It's not as if there's a crush of other posts that the current conversation is impeding.

That's fantastic! I haven't been here long but I've heard good things about this forum from neighbors who are on here. Always have enjoyed the articles though when I've seen them posted around on Reddit and other places.

There's something wacky going on with URLs right now, where if "http://" is not included inside the [ /url ] brackets, the forum thinks it's an internal link and messes it up.

For example, I just saw this happen with:

go.minneapolismn.gov vs. http://go.minneapolismn.gov

Since the Streets.mn main page update, I don't see a link to these forums. Is that by design? We're losing an opportunity for new members to contribute without a direct link.

Just realized there is a thread in "Anything Goes" please disregard above.
