If there is any parking it would maybe be a few on the ground floor that is basically empty due to the lack of windows on that level. There are large garage doors on each end and what looks to be enough space for a few higher level executive parking spaces put into that area. This will be private and not public parking I'm sure.

The parking ramp now has skyways connecting both ends with the first segment of the skyway to the stadium that went up this past weekend. Was very surprised to see that the skyways will actually be running thru the parking structure and not the adjacent section that would front 4th Street. With these sections that are added to the system, will it increase by 3/4 to a mile in length?

I believe what the other poster was referring to is...there seems to be a ramp leading down to under the WF building on the Radisson Red site plans...which I would imagine is parking...unless some kind of loading dock.

In case it wasn't obvious, this has been approved and with the surface parking.

They were smart to buy both versions, no one can spell. See http://gogle.com, http://googlee.com, etc.

Also when it's spoken it might be confusing whether it's Edition or Addition.

I, for one, salute their commitment to serving the barely-literate portion of the market.

Also, karlshea is 100% correct about the homophone issue.

Did anyone else notice this on their website:

CONNECTED
Skyway Connected, Light Rail, Bus-line, Steps from the Mississippi River, Mill District and Nicollet Mall.

That doesn't make any sense. There is no logical skyway connection. If it stated skyway access nearby...

The park building won't have a skyway connection, but the two liner buildings will. Hopefully that's made clear to prospective residents before the leases are signed.

That is what I referred to. Also, if you read the descriptions, they are providing 19? stalls under the tower for the Hotel's use, which are separate from the spots reserved for the residential portion (their words- hotel users go left, residents go right). There is even a tunnel connecting the parking spots to the Radisson. The hotel's loading dock is in the new alley.

Not sure if skyline level signage is becoming a trend (I hope not) but does anyone know of any buildings downtown that have it?

The Foshay, Gold Metal Flour, and I believe TCF tower all have lighted signs at the top floor. I don't necessarily mind the 'historic' ones, but with the stadium and the WF towers, I seriously hope this doesn't become a trend.

Look at downtown St. Paul for what your either want/ or don't want. Other than the historic ones, I personality don't want our architecture used as a big billboard. Especially if we are going to have residential downtown. I know that some signs in St. Paul make it as bright as day during the middle of the night so that residents have to buy blackout curtains so they can go to sleep at night.

Thrivent also has a lit logo on the east side of their building. I don't recall ever having noticed that before - so I wondered if it was new? https://www.google.com/maps/@44.973974, ... 312!8i6656

There has always been a logo, dating back to Lutheran Brotherhood. They change it as their brand changes.

Are you sure about that? Maybe there was a sign but it wasn't illuminated? I seem to recall that their request to add that sign raised some discussion at the city and was fairly recent (like within the last ten years).

I always heard that back when I worked at Thrivent for a time, but Emporis notes: "The name "Thrivent Financial" was added to the blank eastern facade during May 2004."
