The restored entrance is about 5 years old. It was previously a bizarre chalet door. (use the google time machine.)

Interesting idea, not sure how well it'll work though.

I think it has a good chance of making it. Will give those in Harmon Place hood a casual sit down place to hang, relax, and enjoy pizza and or drinks. Hope they have some craft beers from local breweries! Not to mention it would be close to the MCTC campus for that lunch buffet for those that like pizza.

Toby Keith's West End location closed abruptly yesterday, due to delinquent liquor taxes to the State of MN.
The Business Journal is reporting that the owner, Boomtown Entertainment, is scouting space downtown Minneapolis.
(MC Square?)

Toby Keith's Bar & Grill owner says it's looking for downtown space

That took along time to get back up and running. I know that parts of the building collapsed, but they must have had a drawn out deal with their insurance company for this to only now get open in mid summer.

Looks like Naf Naf Grill had a pretty grand opening

Also saw a red carpet opening at The Exchange, the new club run by the guys at the Pourhouse.

If that was Thursday night they had huge lines to get into the place and this was at close to 11. My friend could not believe the size of the crowd outside there. But if it was opening night then I understand and expect smaller crowds in the future.

They moved people through very quickly on Thursday. Part of the reason for the long lines was that they were giving away free food and drink (plus T-shirts and sunglasses), but because there was no wait on payment, they were able to get people out as quickly as they could hand them food.

By Friday, the line was down considerably (and Chipotle was apparently roaring again).

I wrangled some coworkers into checking it out on Friday, and at approximately noon, the Chipotle and Naf Naf lines were approximately equal. So... we went to Potbelly.

Anyone have any information on the new Restaurant and Brew Pub in the LPM tower? Was near it the other day, but was 2 blocks away and I brain farted a quick side trip to see how it was doing?

I think the diner is opening soon. I saw a peek inside the interior and it looks really sleek. The entrance just needs to be ready. Brewpub I'm a bit unsure on. I peeked in the other day and they were moving in some big items, but thats all I've got.

Lakes and Legends had their fermenters and brite tanks delivered on July 17th and they were framing in the taproom bar as of 4 days ago. I talked to one of the owners at All Pints North, and for the life of me I can't remember when they were shooting for as an opening date.
