The article states that they've been struggling nationally, and that this location was one of their top performing locations. So it has nothing to do with Crystal Court.
Does it say why they're closing a top performing location? That's not normally how you fix struggling.

The chain just filed for bankruptcy today, so it's pretty bad.

Ouch. But that's a proven good location for a fast casual restaurant, so hopefully another one moves in sooner rather than later.

Maybe Noodles and Company? It remains super weird to me that they have Stadium Village and Old St. Anthony locations, but there isn't one downtown.

Anyone know what they are doing as Washington & N 2nd (on the northwest side across 2nd from Sex World)? There was construction happening when I went by today.

I think Grant posting something about it somewhere. I think there's a restaurant going in. Lemme see if I can dig it up.

EDIT: Here's an article. I thought there were plans somewhere, too, though..

Cool. Thanks.

Also walked down 5th Street, where the space that had been Foreign Legion now has street-facing windows (might have helped it stay alive), where they appeared to be interviewing for the new Blue Plate restaurant (with a rather generic name I've forgotten - Market??) that will replace Brasserie Central and where there is a whole lot of vacant but lit street-level retail space.

Naf Naf Grill City Center is on the verge of opening. Naf Naf employees were milling around this morning and it looked completely built. I didn't see any signage and the windows are still covered.

Wow, they were really sneaky about that. Never noticed any construction going on in there.

Yeah, I had thought that they scrapped the City Center location in favor of the Stadium Village one when their best customer moved to Fargo.

(One of my coworkers got the veggie feast at least 3x weekly. Dude's a fan of baba ganoush.)

Is it street level or did they insulate themselves from the rifraf on the streets?

Gordon Biersch and Rock Bottom have the same parent company (and they also own Old Chicago) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CraftWork ... _Breweries

If I had to guess based on the available information, our Rock Bottom is being re-branded as a Gordon Biersch. That or someone at corporate put the wrong name on the Craigslist posting.
Rock Bottom Brewery's address is 825 Hennepin Ave S. Not 800 LaSalle. So maybe not a rebranding.

Rock Bottom is 800 LaSalle (despite what google pops up)...825 Hennepin is CRAVE.
