According to Adam Vogue's twitter, it includes 220 apartments, 250 hotel rooms and office space.

Looks like it won't flood the office market square-footage wise, either, with it being so skinny. At least, it appears that way.

Now, the bigger question is who the hell is this Duval guy, who is he partnering with, and where is he finding the money for this? I would hate to get my hopes up before losing half this building to financing issues.

With how visible that 600ft. mock up was from Target Field, just imagine how this (would) tower over center field. Awesome.

I don't know where he's getting these leaks, but here's Doran's proposal. 30 story appartment tower, 6 story hotel, public plaza with streetcar.

Got the United proposal too. 36-story mixed use project with Hilton hotel and 300-room residential tower.

Doesn't that look an awful lot like the proposal for the surface lot across from the Xcel Center?

I also thought that building was an example of somebody's work in another country like China, until I glanced at the lower right. Very exciting! Can you imagine driving south over the Hennepin Avenue bridge and having that thing staring in your face?

Wasn't there supposed to be a cut for a streetcar? Or was one of the options for it to go around the block?

There were several options, some included circumnavigating the block, yes.

Given Duval is a brand-new firm, isn't there a chance they're proposing something dramatic and unlikely more to generate interest in their firm than to actually build the proposal? I don't want to be a wet blanket, but if the three established developers are all proposing something 30-40 stories, does Duval know something they don't, or what?

More than anything hopefully it means he has financiers with deep pockets. This has to be a sound investment ... provided it gets built.

Let's not kid ourselves about which proposal we're pulling for (though there is still one left), but does it actually stand a chance of happening?
