Thanks..it is a nice little green space. Hopefully it will get a little more use with more activity up at this end of the mall.

The construction fencing in Cancer Survivors Park has been there for a while - I'm not sure if they're fixing the green roof, adding a new feature, or both.

The tent is for the barbeque picnic the building throws for its tenants every summer. I really miss working there sometimes.
Construction fencing is for a new patio for use by building tenants. The tent was for Gateway Tower groundbreaking celebration.

Remnants of the Nicollet Hotel's basement are currently exposed on site, for anyone interested in looking.

Sounds pretty cool do you know where to go to get the best look at this?

I haven't looked myself, but I would think the top floor of the Library would be the best bet.

Excavation continues. Lots of concrete coming out along with the dirt.

I took a peek from the 4th of the library. You can see everything. I didn't grab a photo though :-( However, what occurred to me most was that they have a lot more sand to remove. The project is noticeably larger than the nearby Nicollet 365.

It is good to see this moving along. The parking lot was a particular blot on the Mall. Now if Opus can just get moving on their plan and eliminate the remaining parking lot on their property Nicollet will be greatly improved.

At the corner of 3rd and Henn they are now excavating the limestone bedrock, very fascinating to see how much rock is down there. If you stand opposite on Washington you can get a nice view of it.

"Excavate bedrock? You can do that?"
—Opus, probably.

JLL commits to moving from PWC Plaza to the RBC Gateway. (Locked). Is it too late to add a couple more floors of spec office?

(I know that the answer is yes.)

This building reminds me of the MN Twins...pretty darn good, but not enough risk was taken to make it great.

So fascinating to see them auger those holes. Just piles of super bright fine sand (I'm guessing sandstone). Looked like beach sand.

Thanks for posting the pics on several of the projects going on, Bapster2006. If all of the projects in the current lineup go through, this view is going to change dramatically.
