I hope this comes true. ~30 stories seems about right. I like the modern look of it, I think it would fit well next to the new stadium. I'm not sure what the whole Minneapolis, TN thing is about. Is it possible they signed an NDA but wanted to show it off so they changed the location? Who knows but it seems to fit.

Another clue to this; The architect is Humphreys & Partners who recently worked with Ryan on 222 Hennepin.

The fact that they are the architects scares me!!

Glassy towers are glassy towers, to some extent, but that image doesn't look wholly dissimilar to the original one pitched in April 2014:

Given the one-letter difference, I wouldn't rule out a simple typo.

I'll keep my expectations low, the partnering company: Humphrey's and Partners also list this as still "on the boards", which is obviously not for this location.

Looking at the same data, the above picture was uploaded 2013-01, so at least block 70 is recent.. Makes me much more interested.

And when did the proposal above die off? I'm saying the ramp tower was uploaded Semptember 3rd, 2015.

I think we've rehashed that washington proposal a few times over the last couple years. It looks familiar the more I look at it.

Why? they also did the Carlyle- what's wrong with that? and Grant Park. and... they have some good and some bad, just like every other firm.

I think it was pre-recession. I went to Grandmas for a 21st birthday back in...2008, so it was after that it got torn down.

Took me a while to see that there are page buttons at the bottom. Three pages to be exact. I like their designs.

Well that rendering for the old Grandma's Saloon site at Seven Corners was very temporary before they went with the stick built project. See that thread if you want the history on that image.

My only reason for posting was to show that it is still labeled as "on the boards" which is what block 70 says as well. Whatever that means I don't know. Not trying to derail, but just saying to consider it may be a rendering of a dead idea.

Though the fact that 70 is a recent upload is intriguing.

7West started construction summer 2012. So, they uploaded that image like 6-12 months after there was no chance the tower would actually happen. Weird.

Wonder if the Humphreys Partners Urban firm isn't run by the same web team as Humphreys & Partners arch. With a firm as big as that, it may be.

Probably the most realistic rendering of The Commons yet.
