When someone says "Despite the dramatics, this is how I feel," I assume they're not being snarky and actually saying how they feel. As ridiculous as it is.I think a whole bunch of people have their snark filter broken.
Eh, I guess I did kinda egg on the kitchen discussion. And I've also never felt a problem with my single basin sink, so I'm enjoying my life being compared to the third world.

Despite the dramatics, I wouldn't feel very luxury if I didn't have a two basin sink.
To add to the dramatics, I would literally (aka figuratively) feel like I was living in a third world country if my clean running water ran into a single basin sink instead of a double basin sink.

A nearly three page conversation about the importance of having a second basin in your luxury kitchen sink is an awesome way to make the anti-development crowd think highly of the people on this forum.

If you knew me, you'd know I wouldn't kid about a matter a such socio-economic import. In fact, in surveys of the developing world - single basin sinks consistently rank as the #1 intractable problem inflicting the world's poorest.Oh you've got to be effing kidding me.I just can't believe they'd put a single sink in an apartment marketed as luxury. Might as well be in the third world.
Why don't you take your un-'murcan sink back to Cambodia with you!And I've also never felt a problem with my single basin sink, so I'm enjoying my life being compared to the third world.

Ok, I digress. I've been reading this annoying exchange about sinks for a week with an unexplanable facination. I guess I just had to weigh in...apparently much to the detriment of urbanist credibility among the anti-development crowd.

New photo from today to hopefully make up for the exceptionally shitty one I posted this morning.

Ever since they took down the crane I feel like it looks shorter than I expected. Almost like it should be 10 floors taller.
Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
Nice picture. 10 stories taller wold have been pretty sweet.

Looks like Flodisco lives in my building!
Back on topic, I got a set of cast iron cookware like six months ago and have gotten into a routine of washing it with water but then immediately throwing it in the oven and then rubbing it over with canola and/or olive oil. If it doesn't last 100 years I will be super disappointed from beyond the grave.

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
I mentioned this about a year ago that this would look much better at least 4 stories taller.. And I received a warning for talking too much about tall buildings. Now that it's at it's peak height, it's clearly evident what I was pointing out. Remember, the original rendering picture advertised it at 38 stories, 2 more than it really is. From the south and north, it looks extremely stubby.Ever since they took down the crane I feel like it looks shorter than I expected. Almost like it should be 10 floors taller.

When viewed from the other direction overlooking Loring Park the building appears much taller. The IDS Building also looks taller when viewed from different sides.

Is that aqua color just temporary?

Yes. It was purple a month ago.Is that aqua color just temporary?
(it's insulation)
Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
No doubt that 2, 4 or 10 more stories would be better - but I'm glad LPM is here as opposed to not.
(Side note: It looks pretty sweet going East towards downtown from 394)

Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
I was looking at it today and I was thinking that the green may be a protective plastic on the panels that will be pulled off when they attach the balcony railings. Just a guess
Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
It's been discussed before, but just to be clear, the green is a self-adhesive waterproofing membrane.
Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
My favorite color is green and I'm so glad we finally have a green tower in the skyline.

You can practically see what appears to be writing on the green stuff on the above picture.
Re: LPM Apartments - (376' - 36 Stories)
