Im sure people living in apartments with glass walls dont want a light glowing thru their windows all night long.

However a building of this size and beauty should absolutely have atleast a crown of leds. Something to give it presence at night.

There is a different between being lit up like Wells Fargo and having some accent lights similar to 110 Grant and Nic on 5th.

Absolutely! LPM needs to have a crown lit up at night. I live in the building and I doubt the crown lighting would bother me, they should at least give it a try. Also, I hate when I'm looking at the building at night from around town and you can hardly see the building. Definitely needs more lighting!

Maybe they're waiting until the building is leased up?

It would be great if someone "in the know" could find out more. There wouldn't be any reason to wait until this was fully leased. Calling attention to their beautiful tower at night should've been done before anyone moved in.

Well I'm moving in there on Saturday so I can try to work that question in organically to doing my move in paperwork. No promises though, because I'll be busy and stressed.

I wonder how long it is until this apartment building is sold?

First it needs to fill up and then stay filled up. No one buys unless they know they have a steady cash flow or the building is discounted where they think they can turn it around. So far neither is the case. Curious as to the vacancy numbers in this building at the moment?

They manage a bunch of their properties in Chicago, I don't think they're a build and sell it developer the way Opus and Ryan are. If they don't end up building a second (or more) project in Minneapolis and they do decide to sell, I would be interested to see what the building goes for on the market. $125 million or something? Unless they have a whole lot of vacant furbished units, the building does appear to be mostly occupied at this point.

4marq was bought before even finishing a floor.

Also what Nick said. Magellan isn't a build and sell company.

Eggy's looks to be doing very well in case anyone was wondering. They're holding some great ratings on Google, Yelp and Facebook. Every time I see a picture of the place or walk by, it looks pretty busy. I hope it's going to become a long time business in the area. Lakes & Legends seems to be just as successful, Yogafit too. All that time worrying about retail was for nothing ;)

I stopped by Lakes and Legends on Friday and was very impressed with the beer selection. They are starting to bottle and hoping to distribute to certain locations very soon.

Good to know, and thank you very much for posting that figure. I have been curious since the building has been open about a year and a half. Looks like they are on their way.

I see Eggy's is one of the worst offender's in the city for health code violations. How is that even possible for a place this new? That is embarrassing.

Also, I have asked LPM a few times on their Facebook page why they never lit the crown like the plans showed. They are quick to respond to all other questions, but never that question.

What's with all the horrible recent reviews of LPM and their management? If you accept them at face value it sounds like the building is not doing very well at all.

Aren't 90% of all apartment reviews negative? What kind of sick freak would write positively about their landlord?
