The exterior of this girl makes me yawn. There is certainly something to be said about simplicity of material selection, however if you do so the detailing needs to crisp and clean. (Brunswick, Humboldt Lofts) The 5 over 1 building type usually uses simplified detailing (dumbed down) in a majority of locations to focus the money spent on a few “wow” locations. This building disappoints in 2 aspects too much of the silver metal panel is not a good thing (although as a material I find it very interesting) and it uses the dumbed down detail throughout.

You gotta admit it looks pretty good next to that pink monster next door though.

Really love this development. Very urban. Love how the retail spaces overlook Washington Avenue and the outdoor seating area for Dunn Brothers. My only question is I thought they were going to install glass along the overhang?
