Washington Square sold for $100mm
http://www.startribune.com/blogs/272170681.html

Edit: Possibly most exiting is that the 25 First St N ramp shares owners with the undeveloped parcels on the block bounded by 1st St, 2nd St, 1st Ave N and Hennepin Ave (except for the small brick structure on 1st Ave N/2nd St). I've always wondered why that wasn't developed, possibly a tower on the Hennepin face and a Rampton-style wrap on the 1st Ave N face.

I want to be excited by this, but the same firm bought the City Center in 2012 and haven't done much with it.

but have explicitly stated they want to. they are probably shopping tenants and doing a lot of work you can't see... patience young one.

this block could be a amazing opportunity for a developer... residential units close to the river and the nic mall and downtown...

I might be crazy, blind, or just have never really looked.... but there are a few signs on the outside of City Center I noticed the other day that I haven't in the past. They are black with white letters and triangular with some store names on them. Anyone else notice this? Or know if they are new or I have always just missed them?

I WANT TO BELIEVE! It's senior year, all patience has faded away. But yes I know they want to redo CC and I really want them to develop this block. This will for sure be an exciting year for downtown.

Yes, they are going to renovate the Nicollet Mall side. They are also speaking to potential large retailers for the Nicollet Mall side, however, nothing etched in stone yet. I'm hopeful we'll see something announced by this fall.

What firm most recently leased space on floors 6 and 7 in Butler Square, where Aimia is going?

Depends on what side of Butler, but they might be taking the space Shea vacated on 6.
