It's almost like the free market is able to provide parking without heavy handed intervention from the zoning code!
I have no problem with it. It is just that when I saw 3 levels of underground I thought so many levels above ground would be overkill for spaces. But I have no idea how many Sexton contracts they would be having to fill. With 7 stories of parking on the 4 Marq, I sure can handle 3-4 on this tower. Especially if it allows some of the smaller apartment building in the area to do contract parking and we get rid of a few more parking lots that are used for those units.

Is that your version of the project, or is that actually what it should look like? It looks a lot better than any of the models I've seen to date!

I nominate that all photos of this project must include accidental-chain-link-fence:

Almost done with the subgrade parking, they take a one floor breather and then do how many more levels of podium parking. Still have close to a month of parking levels before they start working on the residential floors I'd guess.

The neighborhood yesterday. The Kraus-Anderson development will go across the street to the south.

I know someone posted a link to a Portland Tower construction cam somewhere but I can't find it in either this thread or the "Construction Webcams" thread. Driving west on 94 yesterday I spotted a second crane in the same area.

^^ Pretty sure that crane you're seeing is at HCMC, but I haven't been over there in a few weeks so I might be mistaken.

second crane is for HCMC. They are building a new helipad over the top of the ED.

Walked by yesterday and there was only one crane that I saw. Finally seeing some ground floor support columns that are/have been poured. We are above ground.

Saw a hand written sign in the sales center window today that said "6 Sold." I hadn't even noticed that there was a sales center before. Previously assumed it was a construction trailer.

^^^In a way, it looks better as the tower and podium colors blend in better compared to the previous version. But gray can look pretty dull and cold, and the building might appear pretty severe, especially in the winter. I dont know, but I sometimes wonder if this developer is color blind or something.

The ceilings in the retail space look to be about 7.5'

The parking podium looks like its squashing the retail space making it appear shorter than it is. None of Stanton's projects are very pedestrian oriented on the first level. Maybe the Portland side will be better.

I love the all glass-walled living room opening onto the angled balconies. It adds a dimension that effectively confuses my eye into believing it's not a basic box tower.
