Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
I had heard there was some leaking from the snow gutter system - fixing the waterproofing?

When I drove by the other day it looked buckledOn the webcam, they're removing some of the zinc cladding on the easternmost portion of the north side. Any reason why?

I heard on KFAN the other day there was a rumor that they have to replace a bunch of it due to water seeping in behind the panels. On the webcam, they're removing some of the zinc cladding on the easternmost portion of the north side. Any reason why?
Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
It seemed like they were putting the tiles up prematurely on that section (back in late October - early November), before the "tan" layer was finished. They made pretty quick progress on it over a couple days, then stopped completely. Not surprised that it's being redone. When I drove by the other day it looked buckledOn the webcam, they're removing some of the zinc cladding on the easternmost portion of the north side. What's with the pedestrian walk bridge along the south side of the stadium?

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
About 30% of US Bank Stadium exterior panels will come off to fix water damage. Leaks in snow gutters. $3-4 million repair.

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
Lucky they are finding the leaks now and not once the stadium is open. Wonder who is going to get stuck paying to fix this water damage?
Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
I saw a tweet implying Mortenson would be paying. And there's this from the linked article:Lucky they are finding the leaks now and not once the stadium is open. Wonder who is going to get stuck paying to fix this water damage?
Wood [VP, Mortenso] said the designers and builders were covering the cost, so it won't be added to the project budget or cost taxpayers or the Vikings for the state-owned NFL stadium.

New Webcam view on Mortenson's website. Looks like view 3 is where they are fixing the leaky gutter/replacing panels.

Not sure if this comment belongs in this thread, but I'm kind of loving/hating the Vikings wanting to rename part of Chicago Ave to Vikings Way, similar to Twins Way.
Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
What happened to Kirby Puckett place? Did that go away when the Twins left?

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
It's still a commemorative name. The Vikings want both the commemorative name AND the actual name of the street changed. I sincerely hope it doesn't happen.

Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
Yeah, I'm fine changing the commemorative name, but it is directly in conflict with the city's own street naming standards to change the official name of just a chunk of a street. Don't do it.

Why? Keep it as is. If the commemorative name is going to change it should be Child Beater St.Yeah, I'm fine changing the commemorative name

Maybe they should focus on making their team worthy of naming a street after before trying this.

Sure didn't bother them for the last 30 years, why now?
Q. What, what? A. In da butt.
Re: U.S. Bank Stadium Construction Updates
Yeah, I guess that Sexual Assaulter Street is cooler than Child Beater Street. Why? Keep it as is. If the commemorative name is going to change it should be Child Beater St.
Still too soon?
