If we all clap our hands and agree that the anti-stadium folks were right, will they let the dead horse lie?

This brouhaha over the signage seems kind of silly to me. Just look at Citi Field in NY, Met Life in NY/NJ, AT&T Stadium in Dallas, or Ford Field in Detroit. All of them have either extremely prominent street visible signage or, in the case of AT&T and Ford, extremely large rooftop signs. Oops I'm sorry that this is a business deal? We need to regulate when the angle of a roofline dictates what can be placed on it? I don't care what anyone says, it looks WAY better than that Mall of America Field garbage looked on the Teflon at the Dome.

I don't like seeing corporate logos slapped onto architecture BUT, are you surprised?

Slapping corporate logos onto buildings is absolutely part of the NFL business model and it was definitely going to happen. You knew this was going to happen right? I could see someone registering surprise if this were the Guthrie or the Walker but this is how all NFL teams do it...

Besides all the talk about the large roof logo, I do think the small white logo on the east side of the stadium could look really slick at night. Maybe even during the day too.

I'd be eager to see some guerrilla pranksters hang out a banner for "The Crimson Permanent Assurance"

I'm not too concerned with the branding on the stadium - especially the large logo on the roof. Because of the angle, you need to be at least 500 feet away from the building to even see anything on the roof and even then you'd see the logo from an angle and wouldn't be able to make out what it is. It's mean to be seen from the sky and that's about it.

I just think it's a little jarring that there will be one corporate logo visible in this scene, and that logo will be huge.

Fun fact: One of the buildings in the city that they attack is an exact replica of IDS. Right when the ship/building is heading into the city, it's the first one they pass.

Most of that will be blocked with the new building though...right? Is that one Encore?

A Terry Gilliam homage to his home state?

And you'll also be able to see Wells Fargo on the buildings next door, so at least there's competition. The dome did say mall of America field in huge letters as well.

Was surprised as to how much of the Darth Vader siding was up on the 11th st end of the building. Another surprise if the 1 1/2 story stair case that will lead fans to what must be the main concourse around the stadium. There is some very clear glass making its way onto the building Was amazed at how much of the glazing had been put up so far. It is worth the walk around the whole outside of the stadium like I did yesterday. How one end is looking very enclosed and the Chicago end has so much work yet to go.
