I wish all towers would move as efficiently and quickly as this. When I saw this on Saturday crossing the river I got so excited I distracted my wife and we missed our exit.

That's almost a "intervention" for development tracking obsession story. haha

But in all seriousness, yes this one has progressed quickly, it's a refreshing change.

Maybe they’re going so fast because they want to have the ground all dug out before the winter.

Once you get to a certain depth, winter doesn't matter to the soil, since it's below the frost line.

From many angles this is going to visually expand the skyline, especially with the Gateway Project. When I see the skyline I try to visualize these new towers. This is especially true from North and since the main tower cluster would be extended by Gateway then you have the lower buildings of North Loop and Carlyle then this.

I explored a little and found a new angle.

Its moving fast because they are working overnight and on weekends. Currently renting a condo at the Legacy and its all the community talks about - which has actually been a positive as its stopped them from complaining about the noise of exhaust fans from a building that existed before they even broke ground on Legacy(Stonebridge).

It's going to catch up with the Gateway project lol. Maybe they can put up a sound barrier for the exhaust?

Ironic, since both the Stonebridge and Legacy were developed by Shamrock.

Would be nice if we can get some construction pictures from your upper floor neighbors ;)

I’m disappointed to see that there isn’t a WebCam to follow the construction progress.

I'll work on finding someone with a good view to take some photos. For now, Ryan did provide a link to their project website that does have progress photos (somewhat inconsistent, but, one from today) of the site. They also let us know they are in the process of completing a 1,200 yard concrete pour today :o

Wow, thanks for the link, this is more than enough!
I like that they have a timeline for tasks. https://eleven-mpls.com/schedule/

Way back when the towers of Cedar Riverside were under construction, there was a utopian plan for the area that included many more of the same style of towers edging towards the River and the West Bank Campus. There was also a plan to match the single condo tower that now stands above the bend in the river just adjacent to the tenth street bridge with multiple additional towers. It is interesting that in an odd way, both plans are slowly being realized, but with a significantly broader range of architectural styles. That utopian plan would have likely have resulted in a tedious concrete jungle. The Legacy and 11 are bringing some of that planned density to fruition, but in a much less monolithic way. Of course, 100+ Units in a 550 foot tower isn’t exactly density, but the Legacy and the other mid-rise buildings in the neighborhood do a better job of providing that.

I wonder if this and other developments in this area increase the chance of placing the lid on the highway? All of these nice buildings and such an ugly highway.
