Just wondering if anyone has any news on this building by Laurel Village. I posted an old article from the Star Tribune when the last former tenants were forced to move and the building was condemned.

When I was back three weeks ago for a visit - I drove past and it appears there was some work being done on this building. Past rumors were that it was going to be converted to market rate apartments/condos...

They requested SHPO tax credits last fall and received them this spring:

They had long been subdivided into smaller units- but lots of grand details from the 1893 layout still intact.

Thanks much for the information. The interior craftsmanship is amazing. Love the entry tile work, and the fireplaces/tile work in the units. So happy they have survived this long. And the fireplaces/tile work are all so unique. Beautiful. Excited to see this being renovated.

I went by this a week ago (15 15th St N). They say they're leasing now, but renovation work is obviously ongoing. Here's their website:

If I still live in Mpls I would consider moving into one of these units. I wish they had more renderings/images up. Just wondering how much they are charging.
