Thanks for the pics, btw!!! I'd love to see a perspective from down in the "greenway" (is white right now)!

The East and West buildings are now topped off and windows are in most of the west building with the east about half way there. The north building is pretty much stalled as they have concentrated on the two south buildings. LAst I look they had still not started putting up floor joists for the third floor so they can start putting up the rest of the walls for the upper two floors.

Being lazy and haven't done any research on this or looked at prior posts - but I wish the city had some type of plan that created a promenade/public setback overlooking the greenway.

In Reality there is. public right of way on the greenway. Not a huge swath, but there is a public walkway that I believe will extend from Alrich to Hennepin on the northside of the greenway at street level. You can see that by Track 29, THe condos at Bryant, The Elan and at Flux.

That pics is really old. as the east building has it's roof on and they are a fukll 2 stories to the north. That looks almost 2 months old.

Looks like the floor trusses went in for the 3rd floor, and at least some of the decking.

I know the guy who lives in the house 2 north of the green house. I guess 20 years now.

I always assumed these two buildings were going to be symmetrical...

To a point they are. There is a slight variation in the southern facades of the east and west buildings. Especially noticed in the top level

Yeah, that was my point.

I guess it's weird to me that they're almost symmetrical. Either make them the same, or different. But almost the same is just... disconcerting, somehow.

I think part of the change in the west building is to incorporate the Elan sign that will run up and down on the small wing that is close to Dupont.

FYI, On my way home from Rainbow I saw that they have started the 3rd floor of the north building on the east end.

If you look at the renderings for the future Elan buildings, that asymmetry plays well across the street... I noticed it too, it makes a good gateway, so that might help you Type A's sleep better at night ;)

There is finally some limestone facing that is on the first level of both the East and west buildings. The north building is now getting it's last layer of stick construction and is about 60% done with that level minus the roof.

Also noticed today that they have and are tearing down the buildings on the Elan II site in prep for construction. I really think they plan on starting construction on that phase very soon. I don't think that they will wait for the first phase to be completely finished before they start doing foundation work on phase 2.

Great news about the demolition! The center building of this project is by far the best. Can't wait to see that grand stair down to the Greenway.
