I guess to me in the more updated rendering it appears that they have removed the stairs that go up to the courtyard plaza. Just what I can see.

Ah, my browser was messed up. I see what you're talking about now. From what I can tell it looks like the same render as the third picture in post 1 on this thread. I think the stairs are still there, assuming the three pictures in that post go together.

It would be a colossal failure to remove those stairs.

I agree, it would look nice and welcoming to have that going up, but I like the access doors as well as I assume bike parking would be there.

Road by this afternoon, there will be doors in the east and west buildings garage levels going directly to the greenway. I would expect that this will be private entrances. The plaza is open to debate.

They presented that this project, specifically the middle block, will have public access to the Greenway. There is a bridge connecting the promenade across the site and there is a staircase down to the Greenway. The linked rendering showed a staircase going from the Greenway up to Emerson straight west.

Looking pretty good from the Emmerson Ave Bridge over the Greenway.

I agree that this one turned out quite well. Sadly, I cannot say the same for Track 29. That one might actually be the worst of the current housing boom. They tried to match the architecture and colors of the previously-built townhomes next door, but it resulted in a design that is simultaneously awkward and bland.

Phase 2a and 2b of Elan are both underway now. 2a will probably be above ground by the end of the month and 2b excavation is progressing quickly. All buildings on the site have been removed.

There leasing office is now open in the West building. I think it will still be after Labor Day before people can move in. But when I see people living in Track 29 north building when there is still a lot of finishing work to do. I could be wrong with people moving into Elan this month.

People moved into Elan August 1st. I got a tour and it was pretty nice. I took some photos and plan to get a post up soon. One thing to note: residents of all three Elan buildings will have access to the amenities of all three buildings. This allows them to have a huge selection of amenities at the end of the day.

Ground has broken on Phase III, in case anyone was wondering. Phase II is currently digging out its eventual parking structure.

Decking for the two levels of parking are now being place on the west side of the center site. Trying to remember the time line of Flux as to when they started and when they got the building fully enclosed. IF that was before winter or in the spring? I think I see a lot of outdoor winter construction for this project.

On the issue of how the stairs to the Greenway will function:
I checked out the display they had at the IDS today, and there is not a public "grand stair" through the middle, under the bridge. There is a private one with a fountain, but it stops at a retaining wall under the bridge. For the public, there are two side stairs that run flush with the wall on either side of the bridge, descending toward the middle of the center parcel, where you would expect the larger central stair to be. Odd layout, but it keeps us "undesirables" out of the resident areas.

Biked by this today and noticed that it's a new, low-rise development that doesn't have Magic Paks! Huzzah! It is possible!

From the pic, I like the wooden-looking accent on the "left" (West) building on Elan Ph. I. I wish there was more of that on the whole development.

Noticed today that they have been doing work on the courtyard in between the buildings. Metal poles for the privacy/security fence are now in place. Short of hanging and getting in place several of the outdoor balconies, I think that would put all finishing work mostly to be done indoors. Noticed new sidewalks and steps up to the East building.

I see that they have now gotten some of the first floor concrete work in place on the west side of the block. Will be interesting to see if they can get the basement levels complete before the snow falls.
