Minneapolis actually has a notable presence in the drone community, if you want to call it that, from the company AirVuz.

Hopefully the new owners open it up as it has been and not tear it down or convert it. This and the cc club are classics

This is about as rumor mill-ey as it gets, but I scrolled through the IG account of the owner of CHX chicken fingers and it looks like they might be taking over the former D'amico space on Hennepin? If so, this is dangerously close to me, god save my arteries.

Side Chicks is also taking over the old Blue Door Pub space near LynLake. So far there is only a preliminary biz application available on Minneapolis Property Info. Personally, I'm maybe a little too excited for the fried chicken options ahead!

It's interesting that this one took a while to surface? It was submitted to the city on September 30th, 2020 and I noticed the submission entry way back then. I guess they were revising the design further.

Either way, this is a replacement for the older apartment buildings that were unfortunately damaged by the Theater Garage building construction. Glad to see the replacement is moving forward. It looks fine, totally normal.

I was wondering why we had not heard anything about this. How many units is it replacing from the damaged building

Looks like they've increased the setback along Aldrich to match the adjacent building -- I'm pretty sure the previous building came up much tighter to the property line.

I thought we decided that the cracks in the building pre-dated the Theater Garage construction?

I thought so as well but I also think they were told they needed to rebuild the units.
Based on me eyeing it up on google maps the old building was pretty tight towards the road.

You may be right, I just remember it being an associated issue, regardless of the true cause.
