Here are a few pics from the street level - concrete is starting to rise out of the ground.

The higher floor units in here are going to have a lovely view of campus.

This actually has a fairly large profile when you're looking at it from across the river. Didn't get a shot (I was on the bus) but it makes the West Bank/Seven Corners area stand out a lot more.

I had an errand at the U, came up the hill from the river, and was greeted by this.

I noticed that, too, when I was over there recently. It will probably fade into the background somewhat once the exterior cladding is finished. This is pretty prominent from across the river.
As always, thanks for all the photos. I just went ahead and added UrbanMSP as a flickr contact

My flickr photos.

Looks like they took 4 minutes to think and worked some of the utility penetrations into the design. Refreshing.

That pic misses the brick money shot in what I assume is a lobby/common area. I'll have to swing by on my way home today and snap a picture.

I'm pretty sure it's just an open roof to provide shade on the patio.

These wooden buildings look much better without those hanging balconies. That makes many of the projects near the U the best of the bunch.

Re: 7west – (1810 Washington Avenue South)
Perhaps, but I sure as hell wouldn't pay $2/SF for an apartment without a balcony.
Re: 7west – (1810 Washington Avenue South)
For as big of a deal that developers make about the little balconies that they tack on their buildings, I never see anybody actually using them.
