Prairie Dogs is maybe opening anyways, after failing to hit their Kickstarter goal by a wide margin (for a second time): http://blogs.citypages.com/food/2014/11 ... _house.php

Otherwise, there's not much in the works for Uptown at the moment (besides Giordano's, Scena, and the cowboy bar).

Still no word on Cause reopening (it just seems like too much time has passed at this point, Twitter/media silence since August), and no news whatsoever on a replacement for Falafel King.

The Hoban in Eagan isn't too bad. Not amazing but it will be nice to have more Asian choices in the area!

The Social House site is now down to one story. Have there been any plans filed so we know what the F is going on there?

With Social House and Bar Abeline gone, both Uptown Tavern and Hammer & Sickle seemed to be doing brisk business as I walked along Lagoon. Also, finally ate at Lake & Irving and it was pretty tasty. I had a delicious pulled pork sandwich and a couple Bauhaus pints to wash it down. Nice cozy space too. I still wish they'd come up with a better name.

Is work on the new Bradstreet location (formerly Rye) stalled out? They put up an "Opening Fall 2014" sign, but then months have elapsed with no discernible progress, no one is ever there, and the whole site is starting to look a little... abandoned. I was a little snarky about it when the news first broke, but I'd sure prefer Bradstreet to nothing at all.

SooVac relocating from the NW corner of 27th & Lyndale to 2909 Bryant: http://www.journalmpls.com/news/news/so ... ter-moving

Hopefully we'll see a redevelopment of their parking lot and storage container building addition, though I'm sure French Meadow is just champing at the bit to buy up the site because parking parking parking.

Soovac only has a small part of the building. It's mostly leased by Zeus Jones marketing agency.

Ah, my mistake. I thought maybe those organizations were tied together somehow. The buildings (both lots) were formerly owned by SooVac founder Suzy Greenberg, who died last year.

The properties are now owned by:
TAMARSARA LLC
C/O NANCY POMAGRIN
7B/7 NETZACH YISRAEL ST
TEL AVIV 64352 ISRAEL

You don't see much foreign-held ownership of property around here. Anyone know if that individual has ties to SooVac or Zeus Jones? SooVac lists her, by name, as a supporter, but I suppose that could just be because she's a kick-ass landlord or something.

Bradstreet now has January listed as their opening date, although I have not seen any work being done.

I see Zeus Jones taking over the whole building in the future. I see them there until they out grow that section too. I would hope that they are an anchor tenant in new construction in the uptown area in the next few years!

Suzy Greenberg was a dual citizen of US and Israel... this might be a family business or she may have willed her estate to an organization of this is a company managed by a family trust.

They spent too much rehabbing that building to now tear it down. Biggest problem for them was that they did not get open until very late in the patio season and missed a lot of the patio revenue to get them thru the winter season. Not a concept that made me want to check it out.

Now is the time to get any interior work done before the first days of spring when that patio will be a big part of there business.

Their biggest problem wasn't the patio, it was the prices. More expensive than Brasa? No thanks.

We will go to Salsa a la Salsa a lot. Great food at an excellent price.

I looked at the menu once, but for those prices it didn't interest me.
