When Dave Thune starts yelping about something, chances are it is a good or functional idea. Case in point: he is against placing a shed behind the LRT maintenance facility.
I love beautiful architecture as much as the next person. But this is going in an area people don't go! Much ado over nothing.
Lowertown Shed "panned"

Doesn't the Penfield have the same siding?
Re: Lowertown Shed "panned"
Based on being near Willius Street (which doesn't currently exist south of I-94 in any practical sense) and Prince Street (which also doesn't technically exist more than a block east of Broadway Street), I'm guessing it's approximately here:
Hell, Willius barely exists north of I-94 either -- it's just a service road for all the government/office parking. But I digress...
I believe Prince will be extended soon, though, and Willius will reappear at least as a connector to 4th Street. That's all to restore connectivity lost by the creation of the Saints ballpark.

This won't be the only shed in a downtown area of the Twin Cities.
This one in Minneapolis is far more visible, and far more ramshackle.

That shed is historical, though.
