Don't think there is a separate thread for this, so here is a jumping off point. I believe there were older articles/plans available.

Flat Earth will be moving into a space in the Hamm's Brewery. I'm not sure of specifics, but I've heard that construction of a space is underway.

Looks like Flat Earth's conversion and move to the Hamm space is officially underway. Urban Organics is about ready to start production. There's also serious interest from a distillery. Some pictures included in the article, as well as a map of the property.

This has the makings of being a fantastic project -- hope that everything comes together. It would be great if they can make a strong connection from here to Lowertown, via the Swede Hollow and Bruce Vento trails.

I am jealous of St. Paul's access to the STAR grant funding to help kick start cool projects like these.

I found myself over in this part of town and did a little poking around at the Hamm's campus. Work appears to be on-going, but the promise of these old buildings is very exciting. If handled correctly, this area is going to be amazing. Full stop.

Excited about the possible beer garden inside the remains of the one building. Very cool. Huge boost for St. Paul's East Side.

The first distillery in Minnesota since Prohibition will open in the Hamm' Brewery complex. the distillery will be called "11 Wells Spirits." The law would need to be changed in order for them to open a tasting room. Maybe that can be passed with the growler bill next session. It's time to reform our liquor laws which have been in place since prohibition.

[Speaking of Prohibition -- I finished watching the three part Ken Burns series last night, and holy f**k, is that ever captivating and illuminating. It really helps make some sense of our seemingly non-sensical liquor laws to understand the history of this nation's battle with alchohol. I realize it came out a couple years ago, but I just wanted to give a shout out cause now it's on Netflix. When it first came out, they only had the first episode online, and I couldn't watch the rest since our house is TV-less].

And of course Princeton has been distilling fine Phillips liqueures for decades. Mmm, love that Bellboy...
