This is all built out now. It's a bit...Phoenix-ey?

Sure those aren't some decade-old townhomes in Apple Valley?

^My thoughts exactly (although I'm a fan of Apple Valley's drive for more sustainable and urban development, personally)!

If somebody put up a basketball hoop at the end of that driveway cul-de-sac type thing that could be one helluva half court basketball area for the residents!

They're a little beige-y, but for a more urban-style townhome in the suburbs, I actually like the design. Garages look to be hidden in back and each unit has a private entrance and patio area. I can't find anything to complain about there.

If these are condos can't the residents paint the exterior? I'm fuzzy on the rules for condo owners. I know they can do whatever they want to THEIR units, but not common areas and possibly nothing to the outside of the unit (incl. paint?).

These are rental townhomes, not for sale. No you cannot paint the outside of a townhouse, even if you own it, 99% of the time. Townhouse owners belong to an association and pay dues, just like condo owners.
