Jennifer Monson was nice enough to offer me some insight:
The Elmwood development is still planning to proceed. They are in the process of disconnecting utilities from the building. There is an Xcel power line on the south side of the building that needs to be temporarily relocated and disconnected from the building before they are able to do any demolition.

Anticipate construction in the spring

I’ve been waiting to see this redeveloped literally for decades. When this completes, the Burlington/MicroCenter will have a lot of redevelopment pressure.

I’m not “on fleek” with the lingo these days, so pardon me when I ask: what does “smashy” mean? Was something new taken down today? I drive by here multiple times a day and haven’t noticed much recent activity. Or is this referencing the American Legion site, which I do not drive by quite as often as the PLACE site?

Thanks for translating me. I was responding to the comment above me and in a hurry on my way out the door to New Hope Cinema Grill. Also, the Place development looks like they are ready to dig.

Yep, I was in one of the films. I do a film or two and other acting every year for fun.

For this film, I was a very bad dad.

This project has been really interesting but also really confusing and drawn out is there any simple updated resource that talks about what's happening on the site with images and such?

The PLACE site (named Via)? Or American Legion site (named The Elmwood)?

Via (PLACE) has had an unconventional process in order to gain maximum buy in from the community. Here is the city page with a long list of links.

The Wooddale Ave bridge has a final design.

With this much reconstruction I wished the bike lanes had more curb protections at some of those pork chop islands.

Is trail traffic now supposed to go up to the TH 7 intersection and wait on the porkchops instead of crossing at the frontage road? That really sucks. I also wonder if the porkchop is even large enough to handle heavy trail traffic.

The traffic on the regional trail? It will go through a tunnel under Wooddale, that is a separate project.

Oh SWEET! Didn't realize that was happening.
