Wayzata's development "boom" is bringing restaurants seeking a more wealthy "urban" neighborhood, leading to a restaurant boom where simply proximity to other restaurants is the reason more want to be there.

So this is going in Excelsior. The town seems to be getting exactly the kind of small scale development they asked for.

It’ll be hemmed in by a funeral home, a post office, and a noxious gas station. A unit will likely go for more than a million. But it’ll sell in a heartbeat because Excelsior.

It’s a fine thing to see the western side of Wayzata get attention. I’d like the regional trail network from Hopkins to get a more direct link to Wayzata some year. And soon!

Only real way good trail connection from Hopkins to Wayzeta I see is putting a trail on Mcginty Rd and have it connect to to the Minnetonka LRT trail at Minnetonka Blvd, but that's mainly from personal experience since my family use to have this round trip where we would bike towards Carver Park Reserve and cut through it to get to St Bonifacius on Highway 7 for a bit and then take the Dakota rail trail to Wayzeta before ending up back on the Minnetonka LRT trail via Mcginty Rd.

Deephaven keeping troublemaking nursing homes from their peaceful neighborhoods. Even if it is right by Highway 7.

Excelsior about to implement the most restrictive being code in the state to prevent the waves of teardowns of modest lake homes that get replaced by monster homes.
