I'll also add that there is ventilation moving fresh air throughout the area. That's always been the case - even before light rail entered the transit station.

A small little development, but it looks like the MOA Transit Station is getting a Caribou. Would love to see more stuff like this around our transit stations.

They should absolutely be incorporating retail into the busier stations. Building Lake Street and Snelling Ave stations without newspaper and coffee stands isn't just a missed opportunity, it makes the stations less convenient and useful to their users.

Whenever the Central Station block is redeveloped in downtown St. Paul, quick food/drink retail serving riders is absolutely essential.

It's also a missed opportunity for "eyes on the street" to prevent mischief too.

Not sure those stations could support retail like that but now that you mention it. All stations would be awesome to have vending machines like coffee vending machine , Best Buy vending machine, and bottled soda vending machines , heck even a hand warmer and umbrella and basic stuff vending machine would be nice and time saving when traveling. Plus without all the overhead cost of a storefront retail

So combined with the caribou at target field that makes 2 out of 37 lrt stations that have some kinda retail (3 if there is still a subway at 28th Avenue station)
I don't know if I said it before but I kinda wish metro could be able to directly benefit from the amount of TOD the lines generate by being able to purchase some land around the station and either sell or lease it similar how to how the Hong Kong metro is able to do so.
Granted this idea seems kinda far fetched, although they still can do stuff on their stations like vending machines as people have pointed out and I know I floated a idea a long time ago about metro giving out permits to food trucks to be able to park in their larger park and ride lots.
