Confusing Signs

Does anyone know of any confusing/funny signs around MSP? Ideally municipal signs, but maybe business signs as well. I need to document some for school and some leads would be wonderful :)

Also, it might be fun to just have a local collection to laugh at.
(Also, I'm unsure exactly where this thread would go?)

Happy November to you all.

I always thought this one was funny: https://www.google.com/maps/@44.9445518 ... HDo9iA!2e0

I've never seen a warning for center islands ahead and haven't found a similar sign via Google search either.

Not really confusing, but I always thought the number of stipulations on this one is funny:

Not confusing or MNDOT created but I've always enjoyed that this looks like a face. And there is the one flashing hand around here that has been taped up to look like a "rock on" hand sign.

One thing that is always confusing to me is where 35w N and 94E meet up there is this sign that says Washington Ave 2nd right. And then the sign above the second right merely says 3rd and University of MN. I miss Washington EVERY TIME!!! UGH!

I find these to be particularly odd. What's with the salad spinner? ;)

They have these up in Ontario:

A friend says that it looks like people fleeing an exploding school bus.

I've always gotten a chuckle out of the old NSP danger signs:
Image

"Warning: A pissed-off spark lives in here and will reach out and murder you if disturbed."

It's a shame that Xcel has since moved to the OSHA-approved lightning bolt symbol.

Shortly after moving into my new place, I was trying to get to the Crosstown (MN-62) from the Fort Road bridge. An advance warning sign has the 62 sign on it, but the one for the actual exit does not:

^I pretty much get lost or take a wrong exit every time I drive around there...

These drive me crazy:

If you want to go East on MN-62, according to the first set of signs, you should be in the right two lanes, where in reality, you will need to be in the middle lane (which only says it is for I35W)

Yeah, that bothers me too... although I feel like the middle lane shouldn't split and should be dedicated to 35W southbound.

That bothers me too, and leads to people lane jumping at the last minute as they realize what is going on.

It would be fine, and better for southbound 35W traffic flow, if there wasn't frequent backup of the movement to eastbound 62.

Of course, the reason for this is that both lanes of the flyover are really designed to connect into eastbound 62, rather than having the Exit Only to Portland, but widening of 62 from 35W to Cedar (and expansion west of the commons) was out of the project bounds. This is a case of a small hiccup because MnDOT planned for future projects.

I was just complaining about this while driving with my wife. So annoying.

True, but signs should indicate the reality on the ground, not some future situation.

I chuckle whenever I drive my Dad to the airport. He's always like, "You need to get over to the right." I say, "I'm fine in the middle lane here, trust me." "You've gotta get over!" "No, Dad, really. Trust me." :)

But maybe the purpose of the sign, as is, is to preserve capacity in the two southbound non-MnPASS lanes for 35W.

Here's one, showing the traditional "lanes merge" sign, only upside-down, to let you know that a new lane is appearing.
