Your welcome. I was disappointed that Metro Transit or Met Council did not posted anything about it. At least I did not see anything. I am thinking at least a half a dozen people from the board was there. I was person that had the two little boys. They were excited about seeing the new train.

I got off this morning and found LRV 202 outside. Here are a couple pictures. Not bad considering I used my cell phone and it was dark out.

I think I saw you then are the unvailing. I was there too to see the trains but I did not stay around to walk through the new and refurbished trains as all I had on was a suit jacket and I was not going to stand an listne to all the speaker say the same thing. But I was glad to at least have had the chance to see the new train and the new look for the old trains.

Any word on when 201/202 will go into regular service? Are they already?

The two cars that were to be delivered in December aren't here. Deliveries/production behind schedule?

The 203 and 204 delivery didn't catch our attention (or isn't interesting). 204 is sitting north of the Franklin maintenance facility.

I'm pretty sure I saw one of the Type IIs in service this morning, as the front car of a 3-car northbound train downtown (around 8am or so). Either that, or it was an old car repainted with the new METRO livery.

I assume it must have been a repainted Type I, as the Type IIs are not electrically compatible to run combined with Type I LRVs. They can be "towed" by each other if necessary in an emergency, but not powered.

I did see a Type II outside the Hiawatha shops last week that had a blue square on the destination sign, and they seemed to be testing the signs. One of the posts that was lost said they were planned to enter service on the Blue Line this month sometime.

On 201 right now. It's very German in appearance and chime sound which makes sense. There's a decent gap under each door which makes the airport tunnel experience a little noisy.

I like the "door closing" chime. A lot less piercing than the old one.

I rode one home from the airport yesterday! It was nice, I noticed the different 'bells and whistles' too. Much better :)

For those who rode the new Type-II LRVs, did you notice what the destination sign said? Was it a blue square, or did it still say 55?

Hmm. I don't recall seeing a 55. I do remember that "Mall of America" no longer fits on a single line -- it has to rotate between "Mall of" and "America".

Inside, I noticed that they accidentally had the main airport terminal displayed as "Terminal 1" followed by "Lindberg" (instead of "Lindbergh"). Hopefully they've fixed that.

I found the "ramp" at the end seating sections a little odd. And the "step down" from the seats to aisle. Not easy to get the kids to the door while the train was drifting to the stop.

Are these still running? I have been riding the train almost daily and haven't gotten a chance to ride these. Also, I've only seen one pass on the debut day. Was that just testing, or are these officially out?
