They haven't even finished driving piles, but they now have a crane up and running on this one.

At first I thought it was WaHu, but looking at these pictures, I guess it was this building I saw poking over the tree line driving East on 94 past campus.

Yeah, must be. It gets taller than the Oak Street ramp, though about the same height as the Minnesota Department of Health building and isn't all that tall compared to some of the other medical buildings on campus.

Is that from the Witches Tower? I'm trying to think where you could get a vantage point that high up.

Project looks nice and the area needed to change but it sad to see all the dumpy college houses go. This is going in directly across the street from my old house.

Isn't this going in where a parking lot had been for 6+ years? I know the U cleared those homes out a while ago and it was certainly understood that something hospital related would go here (potentially a dorm replacement if Pioneer was demolished for a more proximate structure to the rest of the hospital campus), but it's been a while since demolition..

Yes, that site's been a parking lot at least since 2009. No idea what was there before.

This site was fully cleared by 2005. I remember because I had to mow it when I worked grounds for the U, and I absolutely butchered a small rabbit there that summer. It tore me up every time that happened, the only downside to an otherwise great job.

So it appears there was a change on this. There are adding more space above the 4 story section shown above.
