I didn't see any permits in the window, but there appears to be ongoing construction in the space next to Lu's in Red20. Based on the markings on the exterior wall, it appears that they're going to be installing an ATM and night deposit. Anyone know what this is?

Walked by tonight and saw the ATM and N.D. markings on the building. The door was open and there were workers carrying drywall in and out. Looking through the window I saw the construction prints on the table (and the permit was there as well). The prints said Project: Trustone Financial. Looks like a banking office is going in.

More accurately, a credit union branch, not a bank. Trustone actually mentions the project in their July newsletter. They are moving their current Northeast branch (at the Ukrainian Center along Main St.) to this location...

Saw the plans for Glam Doll on a table in the largest open Space in Red20 this morning. Looks like they're renting the space closest to Urban Violet. That leaves an open space on Hennepin, and one on Central. Is Papa John's still planning on moving in to one of these spaces?

I just got a text from one of my neighbors, the lights on the marquee at the Hollywood Theater are now operational! One more step in a very long rehab!

Looks like they are re-striping the Hennepin Ave bridge to have narrower traffic lanes and a bike lane with more of a buffer..

I had no idea this was even being planned. As a resident of the island who bikes as a primary means of transportation, this is somewhat life-changing.

That's great news! I take this home, so I'll report back in a few hours. It's always been a little nerve-wracking to be sandwiched between the high sidewalk curb and fast traffic on the bridge.

This is a great example of how a simple reallocation of space can make a ton of difference.

Can we make one of the lanes dedicated for transit too? There's no need for six car lanes on this bridge.

We might as well dedicate at least one to the horse and buggy that sometimes drives people around the area as well.

Maybe a dedicated pork lane for legislators in honor of Martin Sabo.

I assume you meant that in jest, but as I have to give them a wide berth when running, I support this idea.
