Oops. I read the 1-2 ground levels as actual floors.

Pretty exciting to see a single-lot mixed use building proposed. I wonder how they're splitting three three-bedroom apartments across two levels.

7 car parking spots but 12 bike spots. Neat!

Really hoping this goes through without many issues. Como has gotten the burnt end of the stick when its come to development for more students. Their population has taken a good hit from it.

The neighborhood small area plan, approved just last year, calls for small-scale mixed-use buildings, of 20-30 du/acre, along this stretch of Como. This is a three-story mixed-use building that provides exactly 20 du/acre. The neighborhood better not make a peep of opposition.

Just because a building is broadly consistent with the neighborhoods vision doesn't mean that it won't have any specific elements that are objectionable.

It's probably too tall. And what about parking.

It's fun to pre-judge people.

It's fun to pretend that objections aren't entirely predictable and generic!

^Did anything ever happen with that proposal?

Anyway, while it'll mostly get lost among the other 1500 units proposed to the CoW this week, Elmwood Properties would like to build a 52-unit, four-story apartment building with 23 enclosed parking spaces in the wooded corner lot between Como, 10th Ave, and the railroad tracks.

Packet.

It's a sad little building- but needed housing.

Am I the only one who gets a broken image on this?

1721 Como has broken ground.
I meant 1040 Como Ave has started site work.

So there's a new CPC packet for 1040 Como. I haven't been over there in a while, did the site work mentioned in the above post never go anywhere?
