Not a huge fan of this, but it at least lines up with the street unlike its brother a block down.

The design of this building is tragic.

I kind of like the pixelated appearance.

Yeah, I actually kind of like the facade design. It's different.

Could someone please differentiate between all the "Sols" for me? Haha I know there is Solhaus, Solheim, but I'm not clear on the rest. Cheers.

The four "Sol"s that I know of are Solhaus, Solhaus Tower, Solhem, and Soltva. Solhem is in uptown, Soltva is in the North Loop, and Solhaus is three blocks north of the Huron Boulevard I-94 exit. Solhaus Tower is a block south of the original Solhaus. Despite the implication of the name, both Solhaus and Solhaus Tower are six stories tall.

I do too. But I've got a feeling it might not age well.

Thanks Silo. I was wondering if those two buildings on Huron had similar names.

Is the map highlighting the wrong building? Is this the project that was known as "515 Huron Apartments" at one time?

If it is wrong on our google map feel free to edit it to the correct location! The link is in the forum announcements category

I was walking past today, so I took another picture now that the exterior is completely done.

It certainly doesn't look like anything else in the area, but I haven't decided yet whether I like it or not.

Not as bad with the red. I figure whenever Huron is filled in a little more in the (near?) future, it will blend in better.

I like it! It looks modern and interesting. If the area were filled with buildings like this (with multiple different colors) I think it could look REALLY interesting!

The red on the corner reminds me of a Circuit City store - and overall I like the project.

Looks to be finished. I really do like this building. The facade is definitely unique.

Looks pretty good. I do wish they had extended the light colored facade all the way to the ground. The brick is kind of odd.

Not me, personally. I like the red block in the corner....makes it look like 2 buildings, and make the building jump out a bit more than one color ever could.

I don't mean the corner. I mean the reddish brick on the rest of the first two floors.
