It would be cool if Google put out some kind of color-coded overview map showing the most recent streetview date for each street. They have the data...can't be that hard to map it, right?

Google Maps (for Android) will have "parking difficulty" indicators for 25 cities, including the Twin Cities.

Any Droid user out there care to do a review? Maybe multiple attempts and write up a big ol' post.

How the hell do you even do a photosphere in 2004.

Was Sam Goody still open or was that a ghost sign?

If you had taken all those pictures back then you could stitch them together today.
Was Sam Goody still open or was that a ghost sign?
That would have been a year or two before it closed.

It's interesting that TJ Maxx left, considering that they're doing really well these days, compared to most of the other stores that have left downtown.

There's already a Marshall's downtown and they're owned by the same company, so it probably doesn't make sense for them to have two locations there.

They're not quite the same, despite both being TJX stores. There's overlap, but the assortments are a bit different.

3D Apple Maps

The Flyover Mode looks like it got a refresh of 3D models for Minneapolis, like truly recent. Right in time to have it be accurate for the Super Bowl? Until this week it still was showing a six year old 3D model of the city that still had the Metrodome.

I'm chuckling that Flyover Mode shows the Wells Fargo logo on the new buildings.

Wasn't there an agreement to alter the logo on the roof in some way?

Is it only downtown? Noticing old imagery elsewhere.

I thought so, but maybe it was just not to light them at night.

The roof signs can't be three-dimensional and they can't be lit, if I remember correctly.

I haven't been keeping close tabs on them, but I just went to look from the conference room down the hall and they don't look any different to me. Definitely still three dimensional. Not currently lit, but it's daytime.

My phone no longer shows mpls in 3D. Did the restart and update. Shows all other cities, but not Mpls? Any ideas?

I'd give it a little time. When I first tried to view the 3D imagery on my iPhone or iPad, I had the same problem. However I could view it on the desktop version of Apple Maps. Now it has appeared on my mobile devices.

Anyways, the imagery is newer than Google's, but not super recent. I'd say late summer or early fall of last year?
