I used the drive through at the Bank of America at 27th & Hennepin this weekend.

I used two drive-thrus over the long weekend. TWO.

Admittedly, one was to time how long we sat idling (it was 3 minutes on the dot at the Uptown McDonalds). The other was in the Southdale area for no defensible reason.

Not embarrassing but I try to hit every beg button I pass, even if I'm not crossing, just to make things a tiny easier for peds and to ever so slightly disrupt traffic.

I do this too. also, if I see cones that aren't being used near a bike lane, I will put them in the road to separate the bike lane. especially if I know it's a spot where people like to park or idle in the bike lane (I'm looking at YOU, valet attendants!!!). Also, If I'm on a bike in a bike lane and a car blocks it to "wait" or idle, I'll slap their mirror so it folds in, and they have to get out of their car to reset it.

A certain Streets post referencing Penn American has reminded me...

When I was growing up in Lakeville, I drew up a plan for a skyway (SKYWAY!) bridging Holyoke Ave (Main Street) in little old Downtown Lakeville.

I'm assuming this connected Engrenn's to the Ben Franklin? (Go Panthers)

I just realized I signed a petition I shouldn't have, but somehow I think I signed it twice.

Lakeville Family Bowl to the Tastee Freez!
Streets.mn Forum Meetup idea?

We could pregame at the Pizza Ranch.

Nah, it needs to be Babe's for the authentic Lakeville experience. Or maybe Ole Piper Inn.

I'm not opposed to this idea.

If we want to stay in Classic Downtown Lakeville, we could do a walking tour: Buckboard, Lakeville Family Bowl, Babe's bar, then Dairy Delite (it's not Tastee Freez). Not sure what else has happened downtown since I left long ago.

I actually drove through about a month ago. The old hardware store is now the Heavy Metal Grill. Very strange.

I'm dating myself here, but I miss Old Station Pizza...

Ole Piper Inn can't be considered Lakeville, as classic as it is. Mmmm, sausage pizza with one big mound of sausage per square.... With Little Rascels or Three Stooges playing in the corner...

Any connection I felt to old downtown Lakeville ended when Enggren's closed. Everything left is an empty shell.

It's been around for at least thirty years (maybe longer), and it's in Lakeville, so I'm not sure why it can't be considered Lakeville, unless you're just counting the old downtown area.

Yeah, that's going back a ways. :) Never ate there, but I knew the family that owned it at one point.

Wow, I didn't realize there were so many urbanists from Lakeville on this forum.

Ahem, we prefer to call them carpetbagging urbanists.
